The DMK and its allies like the VCK, MDMK and Communists have been blindly opposing the NEET medical entrance exam, ever since it was made mandatory by the Supreme Court. These parties along with their minions in the media have successfully peddled a narrative demonising the exam saying that it puts students from rural, socially and economically deprived students at disadvantage.
The students of Tamil Nadu have been coming out with shining colours smashing the propaganda of the pseudo-social justice warriors to smithereens.
This year 10,572 more students have cleared the exam compared to last year. Of the 1,32,167 Tamil Nadu students who wrote the exam, 67,787 have qualified in 2022.
The number of students taking the NEET exam in Tamil has been steadily increasing since 2019. In 2022, 31,965 students wrote the exam in Tamil compared to 19,868 in 2021.
In this light, D. Akilandeshwari, daughter of a tea-seller who studied at a government school has passed the exam. A visibly emotional girl was congratulated by BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai, during a press meet.
While the media in TN under the command of DMK is busy spreading negativity about NEET.
