A man belonging to the DMK was thrashed and handed over to the police after people caught him taking pictures and videos of women bathing in waterfalls in Kodaikanal.
Pasupathi Pandian hails from Vannikkonandal in Tirunelveli district. He has been working as an assistant to a prominent DMK political figure from Sankarankoil. The prominent DMK leader had gone to Chennai and met DMK leader M.K. Stalin. During his return, he took a detour to Kodaikanal with his men. Pasupathi Pandian and other supporters set out to look around the town and had gone to a waterfall where he took a video of women bathing on his cell phone.
Some people who noticed it surrounded Pasupathi Pandian and thrashed him on the spot. Later, they handed him over to the police.
Police who scanned through Pasupathi Pandian’s phone found the pictures and videos of women bathing. Following the episode, the prominent DMK leader arrived at the police station and got Pasupathi Pandian released through his influence.
