DMK stooge Suriya’s father, actor Sivakumar, who is famous for pushing away and slamming cell phones preventing fans from taking selfies with him, is back with another controversy.

This time, it was during a public function where he was interrupted by constant photography from attendees. A video of the incident, now viral, shows the veteran actor repeatedly asking people to “go to the center” and questioning who took certain photos, indicating visible frustration with the disruption to the event proceedings.

The viral video, captures the cell slammer attempting to regain control over the crowd, urging the audience to settle down after multiple distractions due to pictures being taken while he was speaking. “Go there, no… go to the centre… who took this photo?”, he is heard asking, his tone indicating annoyance.

Despite the moment of frustration, Sivakumar transitioned into storytelling, recounting episodes from his younger days and artistic journey. He spoke fondly of how he once drew a sketch of baby Jesus in 1959 without using white for the tears, and how the artwork eventually caught the attention of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He also recalled long visits to the Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, highlighting a 10-hour spiritual excursion that made a lasting impression on him.

He then narrated how he once sketched a fellow bus passenger, drawing inspiration from ordinary encounters, and emphasized the speed and passion with which he would produce art, even claiming to have sketched someone in just three minutes.

Sivakumar has many a times in the past slammed the mobile phones of fans and well-wishers who wished to take a selfie with him. This earned him the title, “Cell thatti” Sivakumar. In this instance, the constant photography seemed to have annoyed him. Well, if one goes to a public function, he should expect the press to photograph the moments, there are many others who would wish to be photographed.
