A complaint has been lodged against the son of a DMK office bearer at the Eral police station in Thoothukudi for assaulting a pregnant woman.
Annalakshmi, a pregnant woman belonging to the Eral area in Thoothukudi was in front of her house talking with one Saravanan.
Jeyabalan, son of DMK business wing organizer of the area Sundarrajan, had come and attacked Annalakshmi.
It is said that Jayabalan also attacked Periyathurai and damaged the house of Senthurpandi who had come to rescue Annalakshmi.
Following this, a case has been registered against Jayabalan under 4 sections based on the complaint lodged by Annalakshmi at the Eral police station.
The police have also confiscated Jayabalan’s car based on the CCTV footage.
