Thomas Alva Edison, a DMK union secretary belonging to Keezhaiyur village in Nagapattinam district has been arrested on charges of land grabbing.
The DMK union secretary had misappropriated property belonging to the Rajatagireeswarar Temple and St. Velankanni Church by preparing fake documents.
AIADMK city secretary Thanga Kathiravan had filed a complaint with the police in this regard.
The DMK union secretary who was booked under 8 sections including land grabbing had absconded. The police had received information that Edison was hiding in the MLA Hostel in Chennai.
