DMK Councillor Blocks Road For 2 Hrs Preventing Ambulance And Govt Buses From Moving

In Viluppuram, a DMK councillor parked his vehicle in the middle of the road, blocking traffic and causing a public nuisance to protest against another vehicle that overtook him.

Rajiv Gandhi, a DMK member, is also a district councillor in Viluppuram. On Sunday (November 27), he was traveling from Viluppuram district to his hometown A.Goodalur. When he was near Aayanthur, he had a dispute with another vehicle that was attempting to overtake him.

He stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road and blocked the traffic, preventing the vehicle that was attempting to overtake him from moving any further. However, that particular vehicle took another route and moved away from the DMK councillor Rajiv Gandhi.

The DMK Councillor, who felt insulted by the other car, stopped his vehicle and sat in front of it, protesting the car and the driver who insulted him.

He had been sitting in front of his car for more than two hours. When people began questioning the DMK Councillor, he stated that he would only move out of the road if the car and driver who insulted him came there and apologized to him. People started confronting the DMK councillor and asked him to move his vehicle.

Soon after, Viluppuram Deputy Superintendent of Police Parthiban arrived on the scene and informed the DMK councillor that ambulances and government buses were stopped behind his car, which is an offense, and that he needed to clear the way immediately.

Later, the DMK councillor’s car was forcibly removed from the road, making room for other vehicles and clearing traffic. This incident, in which a DMK councillor stopped his car on the road, preventing an ambulance and other vehicles from moving, exemplifies the arrogance of DMK members and leaders, according to people affected by traffic.
