
Allegations have emerged against DMK cadres for allegedly confining members of the public at the foothills of Sirumalai in Dindigul, prompting intervention by election authorities.
According to reports, individuals were allegedly gathered at the Malai Madha shrine (church) area and nearby private gardens, where they were reportedly restricted from leaving. It has been alleged that each person was paid ₹500 and asked to remain at the location until the evening.
Following information about the incident, an Election Flying Squad reached the spot and intervened. Officials reportedly rescued the individuals and ensured that they were allowed to leave the premises.
