DMK Cadre Electrocuted While Erecting Banners For DMK Min Duraimurugan In Vellore, Meeting Goes As Planned

Former DMK panchayat chairman dies of electrocuting while trying to erect banners for a public meeting attended by DMK Water Resource Minister Duraimurugan near Vellore district.

On Monday (28 November 2022), the DMK organized a public meeting attended by DMK minister Duraimurugan in PK Puram next to KV Kuppam in the Vellore district. In this situation, the former panchayat chairman of DMK Margabandhu, and his two assistants were involved in erecting banners to welcome the DMK minister.

However, while they were erecting banners near a high-voltage transformer, all three including the former panchayat chairman were electrocuted. They were taken to a primary healthcare facility for treatment before being transferred to a private hospital in Vellore for further care.

However, Margabandhu died failing to respond to the treatment. The incident has caused quite a stir in Vellore.

It should be noted that despite the tragic demise of the DMK cadre who worked for the meeting, DMK minister Duraimurugan’s meeting went ahead as planned. KV Kuppam police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation into this matter.
