Demand for Kongu Nadu state will depend on DMK government fulfilling the needs of Kongu people : BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan

BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan has said that the state government’s approach to the Kongu region’s long-held desires, requirements, and ambitions will define the next steps in the Kongunadu issue.

Auditor Ramesh’s eighth anniversary was commemorated on behalf of the party at the BJP district headquarters on VKK Menon Road, Siddaputhur, Coimbatore. Vanathi Srinivasan, national president of BJP Mahila Morcha and MLA of Coimbatore South Assembly, was present and paid floral tributes to Auditor Ramesh’s portrait.

Vanathi Srinivasan, who later spoke to reporters, told that justice should be done for the death of auditor Ramesh. She accused that the vaccines allotted to Tamil Nadu by the central government were being sold to private hospitals and that the BJP is gathering evidence in this regard.

She urged that the DMK government renovate temples as part of the Smart City mission, instead of demolishing temples. She added that the central government would look into the controversy surrounding the use of Pegasus Spyware to spy on journalists’ and celebrities’ mobile phone data.

She went on to say that she has no personal opinion on the Kongu Nadu issue and that she could only speak for the party as a representative, adding that the BJP does not think that Tamil Nadu should be divided.

However, she stated that several issues such as development, needs, and aspirations of the Kongu people have been ignored for many years and that our next move in the Kongunadu issue would be decided by how the state government will meet the aspirations of Kongu people in the future.
