Cybercrimes have increased in the country by 500%: NSA Ajit Doval

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval has said that India as witnessed an increase of cybercrimes by 500% due to limited cyber awareness and cyber hygiene.

He said that financial frauds have seen an exponential increase due to the increased online transactions.

The Modi government is set to bring a National Cyber Security Strategy-2020 in the coming days to ensure a safe and secure cyberspace, he said.

The NSA made these remarks while addressing the COCONXIII-2020, a data privacy and hacking conference organized by the Kerala Police and the Society for the Policing of Cyberspace and Information Security Research Association.

NSA Ajit Doval cautioned the citizens while being online and said that a responsible approach should be taken while being on the internet.
