Similarly, Syed Ahmedullah of Ramanathapuram, Santosh Selvam of Salem and Abdullah of Chennai, who were travelling by flight from Dubai to Chennai in Dubai and Sharjah last Friday, were detained by customs at the outer gate of the airport.

In another case, four passengers on their way to Sharjah were stopped by customs officials at the departure terminal on their way to a security compound after immigration control checks.
