Breaking: Sonia Gandhi admitted to Sir Ganga hospital, doctors say ‘routine checkup’

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram hospital in Delhi on Thursday. Doctors have said that she was admitted for a routine checkup. Her conditions are have been reported to be stable.

The 73-year-old was admitted to a private facility in the hospital at 7 PM for a routine test and investigation as reported by PTI. Notably, she had been admitted to the same hospital in February after she had been diagnosed with a stomach infection and was discharged at a later.

Earlier today, Sonia Gandhi held a meeting with party’s Rajya Sabha members and discussed the current political situation with them. The meeting was organised through video conference in which its top leaders, including former PM Manmohan Singh, participated.
