BJP TN Forms ‘Start-up Cell’, Appoints Former Intel Engineer Ananthan Ayyasamy As Convenor

In an effort to support the growing number of start-ups, the BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai announced the creation of a new ‘Start-Up Cell’ of the party aimed at being a bridge between budding entrepreneurs and the government machinery.

Ananthan Ayyasamy, a BJP leader from Tenkasi, who was the State Vice President of Tamil Nadu BJP Other States & Overseas Tamil Development Cell (OOSTD Cell) has been appointed as the Convenor of the cell.

Ananthan Ayyasamy was a former engineer with Intel and had rose to the position of Director of Engineering. His LinkedIn bio states that he has two decades of experience semiconductor industry.

Ananthan spearheads an initiative known as Startup Tenkasi which recently introduced an ambitious, multi-phased Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Skill Building Program in the form of workshops, collaborating with various engineering colleges and Arts & Science institutions in Tenkasi District. The Startup Tenkasi initiative is being touted as an effort to make Tenkasi the Estonia of India.
