BJP TN Chief Annamalai Slams DMK Govt For Leaking Victim’s Identity In Anna University Sexual Assault Case Involving Alleged DMK Functionary

Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai has condemned the release of the First Information Report (FIR) containing the personal details of the female student who was sexually assaulted at Anna University, calling it an illegal act.

In a statement, Annamalai criticized the DMK government, saying, “The police have forcibly arrested former Governor @DrTamilisai4BJP, @BJP4Tamilnadu State Vice President @KaruNagarajan, district leaders, administrators and brothers and sisters who went to protest against the sexual assault of a student of Anna University, Chennai by a DMK functionary. Since the culprit is from DMK, they have leaked the First Information Report containing the details of the victim student. In a sexual assault case, DMK has failed in its basic duty to protect the details of the victims. This is not only against individual rights, but also an illegal act. Chief Minister @mkstalin is fully responsible for this. I strongly condemn the DMK government and Chief Minister Stalin, who is in charge of the police, for engaging in such despicable and unscrupulous activities to protect a DMK sex offender. Stalin, be ashamed of yourself for making Tamil Nadu an unsafe state for women. #ShameOnYouStalin.
