On a sultry Saturday afternoon, BJP and AIADMK cadres flanked either sides of the GST road unmindful of the heat to put up a rousing welcome for Home Minister Amit Shah.
Home Minister Amith Shah arrived in Chennai on Saturday to inaugurate several developmental projects and also to interact with the BJP Tamil Nadu office bearers ahead of the State Assembly elections that will happen in a few months.
Several senior BJP and AIADMK leaders had assembled at the airport to receive Amit Shah.
However, Vanathi Srinivasan who recently became the National President of BJP’s Women’s Wing stood shoulder to shoulder with fellow women cadres of the party and even shared a meal by sitting on the footpath as they awaited Amit Shah’s convoy to pass through.
