BJP Announces Joint Protest With ADMK Against DMK Govt Over Custodial Death Of Temple Guard Ajithkumar

The BJP and AIADMK, key allies in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Tamil Nadu, have announced a large-scale joint protest to be held on 2 July 2025, in Thirubhuvanam, Sivaganga District. The demonstration is being organized to strongly condemn the alleged custodial death of 27-year-old temple security guard, Ajith Kumar, who died following a brutal police assault after being taken in for interrogation at the Thirubhuvanam Police Station.

The protest also aims to demand justice for Ajith Kumar’s family and call for appropriate compensation for their loss. The organizers are also pressing for the immediate arrest of those responsible, including any DMK members allegedly involved.

In an official statement shared on social media, senior BJP leader H. Raja announced, “BJP – AIADMK Joint Protest!! Massive Condemnation Protest by BJP – AIADMK tomorrow, Wednesday, 02.07.2025 at 10:00 AM in Thirubhuvanam, Sivaganga District, demanding justice for the murder of Mr. Ajithkumar of Thirubhuvanam!!! This massive condemnation protest is being organized jointly by the BJP and AIADMK on behalf of the National Democratic Alliance, tomorrow, Wednesday, 02.07.2025 at 10:00 AM in Thirubhuvanam, Sivaganga District being held to demand the arrest of DMK members involved in the murder of Mr. Ajithkumar, who died due to brutal assault by the police after being taken for interrogation to the Thirubhuvanam Police Station in Sivaganga District and also demands justice for Mr. Ajithkumar’s family and compensation for them. I request all State, District, Mandal, and Branch executives, and Wing and Division in-charges of the Bharatiya Janata Party belonging to Sivaganga District, to compulsorily attend this condemnation protest in large numbers with BJP flags. The struggle will continue until justice is served for Thirubhuvanam Ajithkumar’s family..!!”
