West Bengal rebel TMC MP Saayoni Ghosh and Rajasthan BJP MP Mahima Kumari Mewar met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay in Chennai. While both described their meetings as courtesy calls involving governance, development and administrative issues, Behindwoods has given them a very different political spin – linking the visits to the race for the next Prime Minister.
Ghosh met Vijay at the Secretariat on September 1 and praised his vision for inclusive growth, opportunity and good governance. She also said Vijay spoke warmly about West Bengal and its culture and traditions.

Mewar’s visit was similarly described as a courtesy call, with discussions centred on housing, urban development and regional growth, as per her X post.
Sharing pictures of her meeting, she wrote, “Participated in the meeting of the Standing Parliamentary Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The meeting was attended by representatives from various departments, including the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, HUDCO, NBCC, and CPWD, during which discussions took place on future urban development and various development initiatives.”

Behindwoods, however, chose to manufacture a far more dramatic narrative.
Its video was titled: ““MPs from ‘North India’ Coming to Meet Vijay… 😱 What’s Happening in Tamil Nadu Politics? An Unpredictable Twist” — literally suggesting that “North Indian” MPs coming to Vijay and the supposed “unpredictable twist” point to something extraordinary happening in Tamil Nadu politics.
But what exactly is the “twist”?
One MP is from West Bengal. The other is from Rajasthan. One is a rebel who was once in the Mamata Banerjee TMC ecosystem and the other is a BJP MP. Both met the Chief Minister and spoke about governance, development and regional issues. Neither announced an alliance with Vijay. Neither endorsed him for Prime Minister. Neither said anything about making him a national political leader.
Yet Behindwoods has chosen to present two routine meetings as though MPs from North India are suddenly flocking to Vijay in preparation for a larger political role.
This is not reporting what happened. It is manufacturing suspense around what did not happen.
A courtesy call becomes a political signal. A compliment becomes an endorsement. Two meetings become a supposed trend. And speculation about Vijay’s Prime Ministerial ambitions is then presented as though there is something substantial behind it.
There isn’t.
Two courtesy calls do not make a political wave. Yet Behindwoods has packaged them as one, complete with a “what is happening in Tamil Nadu politics?” headline and an “unpredictable twist.” That is not news reporting. It is sensationalism masquerading as political analysis.
