Indians are resorting to products of Indian origin. According to a report released, as of June 2019, there were 120 million monthly TikTok users in India. Now, Many Indians are calling for the boycott of the Chinese origin app called TikTok, as the trend of boycotting Chinese products is on the rise

This has led to the popularity of an Indian alternative to TikTok, called Chingari. It has more than a million downloads.

In this app, users will be able to record short videos with a plethora of filters and games. It is a platform that enables its users to watch several videos. They can like, share, and download videos as well. In addition to that, they will be able to connect with other users using the direct message feature.

Biswatma Nayak, co-founder of this product believes that it is the right opportunity for Indians to be “vocal for local” as the app was completely built by Indians. “It took him around two years to develop this mobile application. The App was developed keeping in view the requirements and demands of Indian users. The App was released officially on Google Play store two years ago in November 2018,” said Sumit Ghosh, chief of product to Times of India.

The app is available in multiple regional languages including Odia, Gujarati, Marathi, and much more. More than 10,000 creators are involved to create entertaining videos, video songs, quotes, and other content that resonate with its users. Besides, it also allows users to be creative to come up with funny and entertaining videos through this app.
