ATM card cloning device found in Ghaziabad ATM

An ATM card cloning device was found in a Ghaziabad ATM in Uttar Pradesh, sparking doubts about a potential scam racket. It was reportedly found in an Axis Bank’s ATM machine in the Vaishali area of the city to withdraw cash.

Sunil Shastri, who had gone to the ATM was shocked to find a device attached to the ATM machine, after it had not been dispensing cash even after multiple swipes. Upon looking closely, he had found that a plate with double tape was fixed to it. When he had tried to remove it, he discovered a camera, memory card and battery attached to it.

Indirapuram Circle Officer Anshu Jain said: “Around 9:30 pm, the police station received a phone call saying that an ATM card cloning machine had been found. The device was handed over to the police immediately and the bank was contacted for the CCTV footage of the ATM. Further action will be taken.” She added that further investigation was underway.
