Annamalai cracks the whip inside the party, threatens action on non-performers

Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai has asked those executives who did not attend the consultative meeting of BJP IT wing to stay at home.

Former IPS officer K Annamalai was on July 15 appointed as president of BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit by BJP national president J P Nadda. His appointment comes a day after party state unit president L Murugan was sworn in as a Union minister. Since his appointment as BJP state president, he has met with a number of senior leaders and had a number of consultative meetings.

In this scenario, a consultative meeting of BJP technical division executives was held last week. On behalf of the IT wing division, a list of key executives who will attend this consultative meeting has already been submitted. Annamalai, who was present during the meeting, found that just half of the executives were present. He inquired as to why there were so many absentees, saying that those who were absent can stay at home forever. He went on to say that he will appoint fresh people that are enthusiastic about the job.

Annamalai then issued a directive for all executives to attend the upcoming consultation meeting.
