Amidst COVID19, TN Govt signs 17 MoUs worth more than ₹15,000 crores

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Wednesday signed 17 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) set to bring in investments worth ₹15,128 crores which is likely to generate 47,150 jobs.

The Tamil Nadu CM had mentioned that he had formed a Special Investment Promotion Task Force as the fight against COVID19 prevails.

Companies belonging to Australia, China, England, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and USA have signed MoUs with the Tamil Nadu government.

Earlier, Mr. Palaniswami tweeted “We have the most skillful man power with electricity and water in surplus and most importantly one of the top states in maintaining good law and order. I welcome all the investors to #InvestinTN We are committed to help you through the entire investment process.”

Representatives from the companies exchanged agreements with the officials at the Secretariat. Industries Minister MC Sampath, Chief Secretary K. Shanmugam and Industries Secretaries were among those present.

The MoUs have been signed with: Polymatech Electronics, Salcomp, Chung Jye Company Ltd & Aston Shoes Pvt Ltd,  Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, HDCI Data Centre Holdings Chennai LLP, IGL India Transplantation Solutions Pvt Ltd, Lai Investment Manager Pvt Ltd, Mando Automotive India Pvt Ltd, Dinex, ST Tele Media, Baettr, BYD India Pvt Ltd, Pillar Industries India Pvt Ltd and Lincoln Electric, Chennai Power Generation Ltd,  Vivid Solaire Energy Pvt Ltd, and  TJR Precision Technology Company Ltd.
