The AIADMK IT Wing has slammed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Election Management General Secretary Adhav Arjuna for his recent comments targeting the party. In a recent interview, Arjuna had questioned AIADMK’s alliance with the BJP and attributed the party’s past electoral losses to that decision.
Speaking to the media about TVK’s current activities, Arjuna stated, “We immediately opposed AIADMK’s alliance with the BJP, calling it a mistake. The people have already punished them through the ballot. Why should we criticize those already rejected by the public? AIADMK is no longer in power, so why align with a party that keeps losing elections?”
In response, AIADMK’s IT Wing fired back, questioning Arjuna’s credibility. In a post on social media, the party stated, “Adhav Arjuna, a businessman-turned-politician who has master the art of switching between multiple parties, has no qualms in commenting on @AIADMKOfficial. Sitting in TVK today, even you may not know which party you’ll belong to tomorrow. Therefore, your remarks don’t warrant a response.”

Aadhav Arjuna’s political career is marked by calculated shifts and strategic realignments, reflecting both his growing ambition and changing ideological leanings. Here’s a streamlined look at his evolving political path:
- Early Beginnings with DMK: Arjuna entered the political scene as a strategist for the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) during the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, gaining early exposure to high-level campaign planning.
- Shift to VCK: In 2023, he moved to the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), under the leadership of Thol Thirumavalavan. By January 2024, he had risen to the role of Deputy General Secretary, announced during the party’s Vellum Jananayagam conference. His direct criticism of dynastic politics—particularly aimed at the DMK—led to internal friction within VCK. As a result, he was suspended from the party in December 2024. Soon after his suspension, Arjuna officially resigned, stating his intention to continue pursuing a political path rooted in democracy, equality, and social justice—this time, independently.
- Entry into TVK: In early 2025, Arjuna joined Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), the newly launched political party led by part-time- politician Vijay. He was appointed General Secretary in charge of Election Campaign Management. In his new role, Arjuna works closely with campaign strategist Jhon Arokiasamy, focusing on building TVK’s electoral framework and expanding its grassroots reach.
