After Justifying Attack On Media Persons, Zubair Gaslights And Dog Whistles Against Girl Who Boldly Took On “Farmer” Protestors

The farmers participating in the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march have been demanding, among other things, a law on Minimum Support Price (MSP), India’s withdrawal from the World Trade Organisation (WTO), cessation of trade agreements with other nations, and a monthly pension of ₹10,000 for farmers reaching the age of 60. The protest is led by farmer union leaders Jagjeet Singh Dallewal and Sarwan Singh Pandher.

During a Bharat Bandh called by protesting “farmers” on 16 February 2024, a viral video surfaced capturing a heated exchange between two women in a car and a group of farmers who had blocked the road. The incident occurred during the ‘Bharat Bandh,’ a protest organised by the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha and Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee. The video depicted a woman driving a car expressing her frustration by showing the middle finger to the protesting “farmers” who had halted her vehicle. Amid a verbal confrontation, the woman questioned the farmers, asking why they were blocking the road and causing inconvenience to ordinary people. As tensions rose, one of the protesters attempted to take the woman’s phone, leading to further escalation. The woman vehemently protested, alleging harassment and inappropriate touching, stating, “Aapne mujh par hath kyun uthaya? Aapne mujhe harass kiya hai. Apne mujhe galat tarike se chua hai…” (Why did you lift your hand towards me? You tormented me. You touched me inappropriately).

The viral video sparked mixed reactions on social media. Some netizens have praised the woman for voicing her concerns about the roadblock and the inconvenience caused by the farmer protestors.

Dog Whistling By Mohammed Zubair

As expected and as usual, self-styled fact-checker Zubair gaslighted and dog whistled against the girl who boldly took on “farmer” protestors. He posted the video of the girl facing off with the abusive farmers with the caption, “Wah kya Sanskaar paye hain. She’ll now be photographed by our Union Minister.”

While doing that, he claimed the girl abused the farmer first when it was his job to “fact check” that it was the farmer who started the verbal abuse followed by the harassment which led the girl to say things.

It is noteworthy to remember that just a few days ago the same self-styled fact-checker justified the physical assault on ANI media persons at the Shambhu border by the protestors.

For the kind of work he does, the DMK-led Stalin government in Tamil Nadu also honoured (very ironically) him with the Kottai Ameer Award for communal harmony.
