A soldier remains a soldier even during holidays: Kanyakumari Jawans do their bit to fight corona

Members of the Kanyakumari Jawans, an organization Indian army jawans that includes a few retired personnel as well, have been providing relief materials to the poor in Kanyakumari district who have been hit by the nationwide lockdown.

The organization has been providing food packets and other essentials to those in need and has managed to reach out to 1300 persons. They are also distributing masks to the public.

The members who have returned to their native place on leave, pool in funds from their own pockets to purchase food, rice and vegetables.

Set up in the year 2019, the organization has done various works that includes repairing traffic umbrellas, planting trees, cleaning libraries and organizing sports events.
