This is what a restaurant owner in Assam did on his part to help COVID patients

SN Farid, a restaurant owner in Guwahati, Assam has redesigned a robot to serve food and medicines to the COVID-19 patients.

The Uruka hotel in Guwahati has a robot named Palki that serves its customers food and drinks. It has been a crowd puller with the robot becoming a darling of the customers.

However, with the coming of the corona virus, this robot now has been given a new look by Farid and has been put to use for serving COVID patients in the state’s hospitals. The robot can also arrange for virtual meetings with the doctors for the consultation of the patients.

Speaking about his robot, SN Farid told ANI “for 1.5 years, we were using these robots for serving drinks to our customers in our hotel. But now, I have redesigned them to assist health care professionals.”

He further added “Our robots now serve and assists the healthcare workers and professional staff in taking care of the COVID-19 patients in the state.”
