Minister D. Jayakumar said that Stalin would hardly get his deposit back if he contested at Royapuram, which happens to be Jayakumar’s constituency. He went on to issue an open challenge to the DMK chief and said that it was his greatest desire that Stalin should contest in his constituency and taunted him saying that he didn’t have the guts to stand against him in the upcoming elections.

He also said that all that the DMK had ever done while in power was to amass wealth for their family’s benefit for 17 years and that the DMK was in exploiting the rights of the people and harming Tamil Nadu. He mentioned that the DMK was only talking about farmers for the sake of elections.

He then went on to clarify Gokula Indira’s recent comments. He said it was unacceptable for anyone to denigrate women and said that she did not comment on the political entry of women in any way. He added that Sasikala’s release would have no impact on the AIADMK and its outcomes in the upcoming elections.

Minister Jayakumar also slammed Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi for speaking ill of women and called them ‘nothing more than half-baked politicians’. Criticizing the DMK by calling it to be as corrupt as a sewer, he said that the AIADMK was to Tamil Nadu as to how the rivers like Ganges were to the country, and that river continues to move on, not stopping for anyone.
