Yogi gets appreciated by workers from Bihar as they get accorded with warm welcome

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has received appreciation from workers hailing from Bihar, crossing Uttar Pradesh  to reach home. The labourers travelling from different states and crossing Uttar Pradesh during the journey have said that they have been treated well. They went on to add that their experience has been better in UP than in Bihar.

An NDTV report said that amid the criticism that the Yogi government has received for violations during the lockdown from the Bihar government, the UP CM has won goodwill from the migrant workers hailing from Bihar.

The report quotes one of the travellers saying that the cops in UP arranged for transportation and gave them food, water and biscuits. He went on to add that in his home state (Bihar), policemen shooed them away.

One of the reasons for the popularity of the saffron clad CM was the move to drop the labourers coming from Delhi crossing UP to go to Bihar. However, this was not to Mr. Nitish Kumar’s liking.

Migrant workers working in different parts of the country and mostly hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha have been making their journey towards home. The Indian Railways are running special Shramik trains to transport the migrant workers to their home states. However, many have taken to walking.
