BJP MP Tejasvi Surya rips apart Kerala’s communist government in Parliament

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament from Bengaluru South Tejasvi Surya during the Lok Sabha zero-hour yesterday raised the matter of violent suppression of dissent in the CPM-ruled Kerala.

The young MP called the attention of the House the scams of the communist regime in Kerala and the suppression of democratic voices.

“CM Pinarayi Vijayan, true Communist that he is, is following Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot and Castro in violently suppressing dissent,” said Surya.

The BJP MP  accused the communist government of Kerala of suppressing democratic protests by the brutal actions of Kerala Police on the Yuva Morcha Karyakartas. The protestors had taken a rally against the scams of Kerala Government.

Tejasvi Surya highlighted various corruption scams including the high profile Kerala Gold Smuggling Case saying that Communist government Kerala used every public tragedy as an opportunity of personal enrichment.

“From smuggling to drug cartels, housing scam to e-mobility, brewery scam to fraudulent public service commission examinations, to custodial death by police the Kerala communist government has surpassed crimes of every communist regime from Colombia to Venezuela, Cuba to North Korea in just 4 years of governance.

The BJP workers were demanding the resignation of CPM Minister KT Jaleel in Kerala.

The police and left-wing comrades resorted to allegedly brutal tactics when it attacked the karyakartas of ABVP, BJP Mahila Morcha, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.

Drawing the attention of the house to the police brutality in Kerala, the BJP MP said “The great land of Lord Ayyappa, Adi Shankara and Sri Narayana Guru cannot be let to suffer at the hands of communist despots.”

Kerala is the last bastion of left parties and is known for resorting to political violence by its Communist party members who use intimidation to silence their ideological opponents. To prove this, the J Shamsudeen committee report released in September 2019 gave ample evidence of the Left’s reign of terror in Kerala colleges.

“The students narrated how the SFI activists physically assaulted and verbally abused them for not being a part of the outfit’s activities. They also complained about exam irregularities by SFI workers with the tacit support of college authorities,” Shamsudeen said.

One of the startling reports was the existence of “torture chambers” run by SFI members who would torment students who fail to toe the party line.

The report also shed light on Left-affiliated teachers who turn a blind eye to the illegal activities of SFI leaders.
