Four terrorists of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen were killed in an encounter in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter lasted for the whole night in the Pinjura area that is located in the Shopian district located south of Kashmir.
Nine terrorists of the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen were neutralized in the last 24 hours that includes five other terrorists shot down in the district earlier in the day. The Public Relations Officer, Defense Col. Rajesh Kalia in this talk with the media said that the bodies of the 4 dead terrorists have been recovered along with arms and ammunitions from the encounter site.
He also said further that a special joint team of the Shopian Police, Army’s 44 RR and CRPF both joined hands to locate hidden terrorists at the suspected spot. They encircled the whole spot when suddenly terrorists started firing at them. However, all the 4 terrorists were shot down dead.
With this, security forces have gunned down 22 terrorists including six top commanders in nine big operations during the last two weeks in the Kashmir Valley.
