13-Year-Old Boy Suffers Severe Head Injuries After Perimeter Wall Collapses At Ranipet Govt School

A distressing incident occurred in Ranipet, where a 13-year-old boy from Thenkadappanthangal, near Walajapet, suffered severe head injuries when a perimeter wall at his government school collapsed.

The boy, an eighth-grade student at the Government Panchayat Union Middle School, was playing near the school’s boundary during the lunch break when the wall suddenly gave way.

An ambulance quickly rescued the student and took him to the Walajapet Government General Hospital for immediate treatment. At the hospital, the Walajapet Taluk Chief District Education Officer and other officials inquired about the boy’s condition.

After receiving first aid, the injured student was transferred to CMC Private Hospital in Ratnagiri for further care. This shocking incident, involving the collapse of the school’s perimeter wall, has caused a significant stir in the area.

This incident is not isolated, as similar issues have occurred in the past. Despite numerous reports highlighting the risks to students’ safety, the Dravidian model DMK government appears indifferent to maintaining school buildings and ensuring basic facilities in government schools, putting the lives of children and students at risk.
