A five-year-old social media post made by DMK minister TRB Rajaa, when the DMK was in opposition, has resurfaced amid growing scrutiny of Tamil Nadu’s sharply rising debt under the party’s own tenure.

In 2020, Rajaa had publicly ridiculed the then AIADMK government over the State’s debt levels. In a post on X (then Twitter), he wrote that Tamil Nadu’s total debt would touch ₹4.56 lakh crore by March 2021, translating to roughly ₹57,000 per citizen. He had also flagged revenue deficit figures, contrasting actual numbers with budget estimates to accuse the AIADMK of fiscal mismanagement.

Five years later, the figures have grown significantly larger under the DMK government. According to the latest budget documents, Tamil Nadu’s total outstanding debt is projected to reach ₹9.29 lakh crore by March 2026. This amounts to an estimated ₹1.16 lakh per citizen, assuming a population of around eight crore – more than double the per-capita burden Rajaa had highlighted while in opposition.

The resurfacing of the tweet has coincided with renewed debate over the DMK’s handling of state finances, particularly in the context of the party’s 2021 electoral promises of “Vidiyal” (dawn) and a distinct “Dravidian model” of governance.

White Paper Promises vs Budget Outcomes

Shortly after assuming office in 2021, then Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan released a high-profile White Paper on Tamil Nadu’s finances. The document blamed the previous AIADMK regime for what it described as fiscal mismanagement, claiming that debt had risen to about ₹2.63 lakh per household. Rajan had pledged that the DMK government would “set right” the fiscal situation within five years through major reforms and a dramatic transformation of public finances.

However, subsequent budget documents indicate that the debt burden per household has increased substantially during the DMK’s tenure. Based on an estimated two crore households, the per-family debt has risen to approximately ₹4.65 lakh by 2025–26—an increase of about ₹2.02 lakh per household since 2021.

Rising Debt Trajectory

Official figures show a steady year-on-year rise in borrowing:

2021: Total debt of ₹5.7 lakh crore (₹5,70,000 crore) that translates to ₹2.63 lakh per household (White Paper baseline)

2022: Total debt of ₹6.67 lakh crore (₹6,67,975 crore) that translates to ₹3.34 lakh per household (27% increase)

2023: Total debt of ₹7.41 lakh crore (₹7,41,497 crore) that translates to ₹3.70 lakh per household (41% cumulative increase)

2024: Total debt of ₹8.34 lakh crore (₹8,34,544 crore) that translates to ₹4.17 lakh per household (59% cumulative increase)

2025: Projected debt of ₹9.29 lakh crore (₹9,29,959 crore) that translates to ₹4.65 lakh per household (79% cumulative increase)

The cumulative increase represents one of the sharpest expansions of sub-national debt among Indian states in recent years.

Borrowing-Fuelled Governance

Financial analysts note that the DMK government has relied heavily on borrowing to fund welfare schemes and subsidies, rather than significantly expanding revenue or reducing structural deficits. For 2025–26 alone, Tamil Nadu plans to borrow ₹1.62 lakh crore – an amount larger than the entire annual budgets of several smaller states.

While the 2025 budget projects that debt as a percentage of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) will gradually decline over the next few years, critics point out that these projections follow four consecutive years of aggressive borrowing that have already raised the absolute debt burden to record levels.

Tamil Nadu’s Industries Minister TRB Rajaa has come under sharp scrutiny after his response to the high-profile exit of South Korean sports-shoe manufacturer Hwaseung – a $150-million, 20,000-jobs project that has now shifted from Tamil Nadu to Andhra Pradesh’s Kuppam.

As reported in Economic Times, Hwaseung, a key global supplier to Adidas, had signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government in August to set up its first India plant in Tirunelveli. The firm has now abandoned that plan and moved its investment to Andhra Pradesh, citing skilled manpower availability, smoother land access, and long-term alignment with its expansion requirements.

Instead of addressing what went wrong with Tamil Nadu’s investment processes, Minister Rajaa said that the state “would not join a race to the bottom” by matching the aggressive incentive package reportedly offered by Andhra Pradesh – a justification that critics say glosses over deeper issues.

According to senior officials familiar with the negotiations, Andhra Pradesh offered Hwaseung free land and higher resource subsidies. Tamil Nadu was asked to match the package but declined. The company subsequently switched to Kuppam, the constituency of CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, after concluding that Andhra Pradesh provided a better long-term fit.

As reported in The New Indian Express, Rajaa argued that Tamil Nadu would resist participating in “daily competitive games” over incentives and claimed that the state prioritised “high-value jobs” rather than competing aggressively for manufacturing investments. He said land in Tamil Nadu carried “different economic pressures” and could not be handed out casually.

But the minister’s framing has triggered questions about whether the government is deflecting from the actual reasons behind losing a major employment-heavy project. Opposition parties said his stance attempted to shift the narrative instead of accepting that Tamil Nadu was outcompeted on basics such as land facilitation, investment timelines, and responsive negotiations. Business chambers privately pointed out that footwear manufacturing is a labour-intensive sector ideally suited for southern districts, and losing 20,000 potential jobs in a region like Tirunelveli is not a trivial issue to dismiss.

In contrast, Andhra Pradesh’s investment agencies moved swiftly after Hwaseung first approached Invest India. The company said India was chosen over multiple countries due to its young workforce and that Andhra Pradesh edged out Tamil Nadu because it better aligned with its manpower and expansion needs. Hwaseung has already been allotted 100 acres in two Kuppam villages.

Rajaa reiterated that Tamil Nadu remained “the most trustworthy and most industrialised state,” accusing opposition “proxies” of belittling the government’s investment record. However, the criticism has persisted: while Andhra’s proactive pitch secured a flagship export-oriented project, Tamil Nadu’s response appeared defensive, vague, and dismissive of the economic stakes involved.

For now, the departure of a high-volume employer like Hwaseung and the minister’s attempt to frame it as a principled choice has intensified questions about whether Tamil Nadu under the DMK government is losing its edge in a competitive investment landscape.

Tamil Nadu Industries Minister T. R. B. Raja on Wednesday reaffirmed in the Legislative Assembly that Foxconn’s planned ₹15,000 crore investment in the state remains confirmed and genuine, amid questions raised by opposition members over conflicting statements from the company.

During a debate session, AIADMK MLA Thangamani asked why Google had chosen to invest in Andhra Pradesh instead of Tamil Nadu and sought clarification on reports that Foxconn had denied any investment plans in the state.

DMK Minister Rajaa clarified that all the agreements announced so far by the Tamil Nadu government had been confirmed and that the Foxconn deal was legitimate. He explained that Foxconn comprises multiple subsidiary companies, and while one American entity under the Foxconn group had denied plans to set up operations in Tamil Nadu, another Foxconn company is indeed proceeding with the investment.

Foxconn has many firms which produce different things. Their responses will be different for different reporters who extend a mic. They asked an American firm (related to Foxconn). We can’t talk about it I’ll tell you why. That firm had responded that they did not do the investment. This is what has happened.“, TRB Rajaa said.

Raja further said that the Chief Minister had advised legislators not to politicize issues involving India–U.S. trade relations and to maintain a consistent stance aligned with the Union government.

Commenting on Google’s investments and the role of major conglomerates, Raja stated that he did not wish to criticize the neighbouring state’s investments or the involvement of industrial groups such as Adani.

Rajaa further said “You can ask how come Google, a US company is announcing. That’s because Google is not there in China. A company which is there in China, US and India is not able to openly announce their decisions. When an investment comes in, as Indians we should understand the geopolitical reason. He has said that no ‘new’ investments are being made and did not say no investments are coming. Can’t you see the diplomacy in this? You’ve been in power.

He reiterated that the ₹15,000 crore investment generation 14,000 jobs is assured and is definitely coming to Tamil Nadu.

The minister added that misinformation about industrial projects could discourage investors and harm youth employment prospects, noting that the state had already facilitated 32 lakh jobs under current initiatives.

Raja concluded that the central government had also issued clarifications on the matter and that Tamil Nadu remained a preferred destination for global manufacturers like Foxconn.

Electronics major Foxconn has denied reports that it committed a fresh ₹15,000-crore investment in Tamil Nadu, contradicting a statement made earlier by the state’s industries minister T. R. B. Rajaa.

Rajaa had posted on social media that the Taiwanese manufacturer would launch a major new expansion, promising roughly 14,000 new jobs and terming it a milestone for Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth.

In a formal communication issued the next day, Foxconn clarified that Robert Wu, its recently appointed representative for India, had met officials in the Chief Minister’s Office, but the conversation did not include any discussion of new investment proposals. The company emphasized that the meeting was only an introductory exchange.

Following the minister’s announcement, the government said it planned to open a dedicated “Foxconn Desk” within Guidance Tamil Nadu—the state’s investment-promotion body—to fast-track project approvals. Officials described the initiative as a single-window system aimed at quicker decision-making.

Rajaa also stated that Foxconn’s next stage of work in the state would focus on advanced manufacturing, research and development, and AI-driven production lines.

However, Foxconn’s clarification appeared to undercut that assertion, suggesting that no new commitments were finalized during Wu’s interaction with Chief Minister M. K. Stalin. The firm declined to specify whether its existing projects in Tamil Nadu remain on schedule.

As of Tuesday evening, the state government had not released any follow-up statement responding to Foxconn’s denial.

Tamil Nadu Industries Minister and DMK leader TRB Rajaa has sparked a political storm with remarks comparing the status of women in Tamil Nadu to those in other Indian states, particularly in North India.

Addressing an event at Ethiraj College for Women, Rajaa stated, “Don’t think that today, just because your parents are educating you, you are easily able to access education. In India, women did not get opportunities for education so easily. 100 years ago, there were unimaginable situations where women were not even considered equal human beings. This kind of situation exists in many parts of North India even now. You should be socially aware. Especially if you are a woman in India. There is a difference between being a woman in Tamil Nadu and in any other state in India. I will very very proudly say this. No other state is on par with Tamil Nadu in this regard. The situation remains unchanged in North India. Very simple question. In North India, when we meet a woman, the first question is, where does your husband work? In Tamil Nadu, the question asked of a woman is, where do you work? This change doesn’t happen overnight. It took a century of work, at least in Tamil Nadu.”

He argued that in Tamil Nadu, women are recognized and respected for their careers, whereas in many North Indian states, societal attitudes still focus primarily on a woman’s marital status.

TRB Rajaa’s comments were backed by DMK senior leader TKS Elangovan, who said, “Women in North India are often confined to being housewives because of religious practices. They follow Manusmriti, which we don’t. The DMK government has always worked to empower women.”

TRB Rajaa has a history of derogating and abusing North Indians. He has used the slur “Vadakkan”, called them “undemocratic” and has frequently made disparaging remarks about North Indians in speeches and social media posts, contrasting them unfavorably with Tamil Nadu and Tamil culture.

In a familiar pattern, the ruling DMK government in Tamil Nadu has once again attempted to re-brand a central government driven initiative as its own, this time in the shipbuilding sector. The latest instance involves the announcement of two major investments by central Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) to set up greenfield shipyards in Tamil Nadu with a combined investment of ₹30,000 crore. However, the DMK, backed by sections of the Dravidianist media, has been quick to position the development as a result of its own policies and leadership.

On 20 September 2025, Tamil Nadu’s Industries Minister TRB Rajaa announced the MoUs via his X account, describing it as “massive news” for the state’s shipbuilding industry. He stated that the agreements as a key milestone under the upcoming Tamil Nadu Maritime Transport Manufacturing Policy 2025, emphasizing that they would generate over 55,000 jobs and mark the state’s emergence as a “global hub for shipbuilding and maritime innovation.”

In his statement, Rajaa credited Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and said the move aligned with the DMK’s development vision. Following this, Stalin himself posted on social media, invoking Tamil maritime history and asserting that the “Dravidian Model” was steering southern Tamil Nadu onto the global shipbuilding map.

Predictably, DMK-simping media outlets like Puthiya Thalaimurai amplified this narrative, presenting the announcement as a direct achievement of the state government. One headline read, “Contract worth ₹15,000 crore: Minister Raja.”

The Reality: A Modi Govt-Led Initiative Under National Maritime Vision

Contrary to the narrative being peddled by the DMK and its ecosystem, these projects are part of the Government of India’s broader maritime strategy, specifically the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047. The MoUs were signed between the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) and the Tamil Nadu government through its investment promotion agency, Guidance Tamil Nadu, with the centre’s active involvement.

Cochin Shipyard Limited, which built the Indian Navy’s first indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, will invest ₹15,000 crore in a commercial shipyard, creating 10,000 jobs initially. MDL, known for building Scorpene-class submarines and frontline destroyers like the Visakhapatnam-class, will invest an equivalent amount to establish a shipyard employing over 45,000 people.

Both entities are central PSUs under the Ministries of Defence and Shipping, respectively. Their strategic decision to establish shipbuilding infrastructure on India’s east coast specifically in Thoothukudi district is driven by national maritime priorities, including security and trade.

Union Government’s Role Highlighted at Signing Ceremony

The MoUs were formally exchanged on 19 September 2025 at an event organized by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The ceremony was attended by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, further confirming the central government’s role in initiating and facilitating these massive investments.

Yet, in Tamil Nadu, the DMK has attempted to shift the spotlight toward its own governance, despite the projects being aligned with central government frameworks. Critics have pointed out that the DMK is merely piggybacking on the Centre’s plans while attempting to appropriate credit for political mileage ahead of elections.

Social Media Pushback: DMK’s Credit Grab Draws Ridicule

The DMK’s attempt to take ownership of the shipbuilding projects has triggered significant backlash on social media. Users have mocked the party’s habitual sticker politics,” accusing it of slapping its label on any initiative with potential visibility or public appeal, regardless of who conceived or executed it.

This episode follows a familiar pattern where central government projects in Tamil Nadu be it in infrastructure, defence, or manufacturing are rebranded locally as “Dravidian model achievements” for narrative-building purposes. However, in the digital age, such attempts are increasingly met with scrutiny and resistance from the public.

As the 2026 state elections approach, the line between genuine state-led development and opportunistic political branding is becoming increasingly blurred at least in the way it’s being projected by the ruling establishment in Tamil Nadu.

The Tamil Nadu BJP has criticized the DMK government and Industries Minister TRB Rajaa for failing to disclose details about the investments supposedly attracted at the recent World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. While other states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana have publicly announced the investments they secured, the BJP has pointed out that Tamil Nadu has yet to release any concrete data on the matter, despite the claims that Rajaa attended the event to draw in investment.

On its official X account, the BJP made a sarcastic remark, saying, “Industries Minister @TRBRajaa! The Uttar Pradesh delegation secured investments worth ₹19,400 crore, Maharashtra attracted ₹15.7 lakh crore, and Telangana brought in ₹1.79 lakh crore. But why is Tamil Nadu is boasting about attracting investments without disclosing the actual figures? After Chief Minister @mkstalin came to power, it was claimed that MoUs worth ₹6,100 crore attracted from Dubai in 2022, MoUs worth ₹946.90 crore attracted from Japan in 2023, and in 2024, Spain saw investments worth ₹7,442 crore. But how many of these have been implemented, and how many jobs have actually been created?”

The BJP also raised concerns about the lack of appointment of Director in the state’s investment promotion agency, “Guidance Tamil Nadu,” which has been without an Executive Director for over a month. It questioned, “Why has the government agency responsible for promoting investments, ‘Guidance Tamil Nadu,’ not appointed an Executive Director since the past month? Is this the level of interest your DMK government has in attracting investments to Tamil Nadu? Is the Dravidian model about buttressing with lies responding to simple questions—such as how many crores in investments and new contracts were secured at Davos —with vague statements confusing people like ‘meetings with 50 companies,’ ‘positive discussions with other countries,’ and ‘gaining attention at the Economic Forum’? Stop going on a free tour with people’s tax money and boasting about investment attraction trips without saying a word!”

The post concluded with a dig at the Deputy Chief Minister, comparing the failure to address flooding issues with the lack of accountability over the ₹4,000 crore Chennai drainage works. It stated, “Do not follow the Deputy Chief Minister’s style of saying that ‘the drained floods are the white paper’ when asked for an account of the ₹4,000 crore Chennai drainage works.”

DMK Minister for Industries, Investment Promotion, and Commerce, TRB Rajaa, has praised Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from the BJP, as an “amazing gentleman” and expressed his deep respect for him while participating in the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

TN Industries Minister is pitching Tamil Nadu to investors at the World Economic Forum. He says he is happy as long as the investment stays in India. He mentioned, “If I am going to fight for an investment and Maharashtra is trying to pull it for Maharashtra, and I’m trying to pull it into Tamil Nadu, I don’t mind as long as it comes and stays in India. We are all fighting together for India. We don’t want to lose out to Vietnam, Indonesia, or Malaysia. That’s the whole story when we are aggressive.”

While sharing the stage with Fadnavis, Rajaa praised India’s growth story and called Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu the double engine. He said, “Honorable Chief Minister, it is an honor to share the stage with you, sir, the secretary, other chief ministers, and all officers here. Amazing people from all over India. It is a huge honor to be here today, especially at this opening. I’ll tell you what happened last year. Last year, we took Davos by storm, and it was just an India show. I think RIF thought that we need to put an end to this and bring them all together in one space, otherwise they are going to run out of space because it was India everywhere. So the world is seeing where India is growing, and it’s amazing to see the growth story we are experiencing together. The number one state, the number two state, and I’m not agreeing with you on that. I still think Mumbai is just beating us with numbers anyway. This right here is the double engine that’s running in India. This year, the double engine is powering India, it is a train of unstoppable growth story.”

Rajaa further praised Fadnavis in a statement, “I have great respect for him; he is a people’s leader, just like our leader MK Stalin. They are always on the ground, with the people and Chief Minister also had done that in Maharashtra. This goes as you said learning from each other.”

In a bid to attract international investments, six Indian states—Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala—are fiercely competing for attention at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, from 20 to 24 January 2025. The event, which draws global leaders and investors, provides these states a platform to showcase their investment potential.

Several prominent political figures, including CMs Devendra Fadnavis, Chandrababu Naidu, and Revanth Reddy, are set to promote their states at the prestigious venue. The WEF features two India pavilions, one representing the central government and the other dedicated to the six states, which will occupy separate floors in the second pavilion. Key leaders attending include Nara Lokesh and T.G. Bharath from Andhra Pradesh, T.R.B. Rajaa from Tamil Nadu, Suresh Kumar Khanna from Uttar Pradesh, and P. Rajeev from Kerala. Maharashtra and Telangana have ambitious goals, with Maharashtra aiming to sign MoUs worth ₹7 trillion and Telangana targeting ₹1 trillion in investment.

Among the competing states, Andhra Pradesh is sending the largest delegation of 20 members and has allocated around ₹15 crore for its pavilion, themed “Sunrise State Andhra Pradesh.” Chief Minister Naidu is expected to hold 19 high-level meetings, including discussions with heads of state. Additionally, Andhra Pradesh’s IT Minister Nara Lokesh will conduct 50 bilateral meetings, focusing on sectors like IT, petrochemicals, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals.

Telangana is promoting its “Telangana Rising 2050” initiative, which aims for balanced development across the state. “Telangana will be divided into three distinct clusters to ensure growth beyond just Hyderabad,” explained Jayesh Ranjan, the state’s Special Chief Secretary for Industries, Commerce, and IT. Kerala’s delegation of six members will focus on sectors such as IT.

Tamil Nadu, on the other hand, is launching a global campaign under the slogan #BullishOnTN. During the four-day event, the Tamil Nadu delegation has scheduled 50 meetings with potential partners, aiming to foster deeper ties with global leaders. “Our commitment to policy continuity ensures that MoUs are executed effectively, with streamlined approvals and an ideal ecosystem for industries to thrive,” stated Arun Roy, Tamil Nadu’s Industries Secretary.

A few days ago, the Dravidian propaganda handle on social media platform X was exposed, and its admins are being revealed individually. The Commune also reported on how a person named Kathir RS, biographer of TN CM and DMK chief MK Stalin, was the face behind the handle ‘We Dravidians’ that spewed venom against Hindus, especially Brahmins.

The handle met stiff opposition from Pawan Kalyan’s fans after the latter, and Udhayanidhi Stalin locked horns over Sanatana Dharma’s remarks. An Andhra Pradesh-based advocate filed a police complaint against the handle. Subsequently, the admins deactivated the handle and disappeared.

But did you know that the anti-Hindu secessionist handle We Dravidians had a strong DMK connection? For the launch of this biography, Kathir is seen with a few members known to be staunch supporters of the party or associated with the party itself in some way.

Let us look at each of the DMK members that ‘We Dravidians’ admin Kathir met one-by-one.

Jeyaranjan

Known as Dr Jeyaranjan, he is the Vice Chairman of the State Planning Commission in Tamil Nadu. An alleged ‘economist’ J Jeyaranjan was appointed to the Tamil Nadu State Development Policy Council formed by the MK Stalin-led DMK government when it came to power in May 2021. He also wrote a paper in 2019 in which he accused the DMK of massive corruption in illegal sand mining and mafia.

In 2023, following the floods in Tamil Nadu, in a video clipping shared by DMK mouthpiece Sun News, Vice Chairman of State Planning Commission (SPC) J Jeyarajan is seen peddling lies about the press interview given by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman regarding the floods in TN that time.

In the discussion, the self-proclaimed “economist” criticized FM Sitharaman, accusing her of using arrogant and dismissive body language during an interview, which he said disregarded the struggles of the Tamil Nadu people. He questioned why the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) should focus on the state’s ₹4,000 crore expenditure. He also dismissed claims that the state government pocketed central relief funds, stating that strict rules govern how the money is distributed and accounted for, ensuring proper procedures are followed.

Zakir Hussain

A ‘Bharatanatyam dancer’, Zakir Hussain was appointed by the DMK government in 2022 as an advisor for 17 district music schools. Proclaiming to be a devotee of Lord Ranganatha, Hussain maintains his Islamic name and associates himself with the DMK. He had been accused of sexual harassment by a government music schoolteacher. Hussain is a card-carrying member of the DMK who joined the party in January 2021. He came under the spotlight when it was widely reported in the media that he was prevented from entering the Srirangam Ranganathar Temple. However, he in an interview to a YouTube channel had claimed that he had been going to the temple for many years and was never denied entry. The appointment as advisor came to be after this incident.

MM Abdulla

DMK MP Abdulla is known for making secessionist statements in the Parliament. On a day when the Supreme Court of India upheld the abrogation of Article 370 by the Narendra Modi government, INDI Ally DMK MP MM Abdullah made a shocking statement on the floor of Rajya Sabha that borderline called for Kashmir’s secession on a racial basis.

Quoting anti-Hindu and anti-India Dravidian demagogue EV Ramasamy Naicker (hailed as ‘Periyar’ by his followers), the DMK MP said “Every race has the right to self-determination. It is applicable for Kashmiri people as well.” Despite objections, the DMK MP kept repeating the same lines and even called for an “investigation of human rights abuses in Kashmir”.

I propose the concrete steps to address the situation in Kashmir, sir. Establish an independent commission to investigate human rights violations in Kashmir”, the I.N.D.I. Ally DMK MP said.

The Hindu’s Paneerselvan

As of 2021, AS Panneerselvan was the Executive Director of Panos South Asia, working across eight countries. He is a steering committee member of the Global Forum for Media Development and an advisory panel member for the Knight International Journalism Fellowship. He has held senior roles at Sun Network and Outlook magazine, managing editorial policy and covering politics, economy, and Sri Lanka extensively. He is also an adjunct faculty at the Asian College of Journalism. He was a Reuters Fellow at Oxford and lectures globally on media and South Asian issues. What is problematic is that he directed the documentary Making Trouble Where There Is None, produced by Frontline magazine of The Hindu group, which examines ‘communal mobilization under the cover of the Lord Ganesh festival’ in Chennai.

TRB Rajaa

The DMK Minister for Industries and head of the IT Wing, we all know what kind of a personality, TRB Rajaa is. Kathir has often been seen with Rajaa.

MK Stalin

‘We Dravidians’ admin Kathir also presents his book on DMK chief Stalin and why he needs to be the Prime Minister of India. He presents the book to the subject – Stalin himself.

Udhayanidhi Stalin

Lastly, Kathir presents the biography he wrote to Udhayanidhi Stalin.

DMK Minister for Industries, the party’s IT Wing secretary TRB Rajaa shared a post on how TN Chief Minister MK Stalin providesquality jobsfor the youth. He wrote on his X handle, #Jobs, jobs, and more #JobsForTN! As our Honourable @CMOTamilNadu Thiru. @MKStalin avargal has always emphasised, every rupee of the lakhs of crores in investments we bring in is aimed at creating quality jobs for our youth and the results speak for themselves! According to the Annual Survey of Industries 2022-23 released by the Union government, a remarkable 15% of all industrial jobs created in India were from #TamilNadu, making us the top industrial employer in the country This is a testament to our relentless focus on employment generation and inclusive growth. This is the #DravidianModel in action! #InvestInTN”

However, the data shared by Rajaa turned out to be half-truth. An article reveals that According to the latest (2019-20) data in the report sourced from the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation’s Annual Survey of Industries (ASI), Tamil Nadu had 38,837 factories, up 45 percent from 26,790 factories as of 2009-10 and 1.85 percent from 38,131 factories as of 2018-19. In comparison, Gujarat had a 28,479 factory count, growing at a faster rate of 82 percent from 15,576 as of 2009-10 and 6 percent from 26,842 as of 2018-19.

Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh had 25,610, 16,924, and 16,184 factories as of 2019-20. Importantly, out of the total number of factories in India, 2,46,504 as of 2019-20, which jumped by 55 percent from 1,58,877 as of 2009-10, Tamil Nadu had a share of 15.7 percent, compared to Gujarat’s 11.5 percent, Maharashtra’s 10.3 percent, Andhra Pradesh’s 6.8 percent, and Uttar Pradesh’s 6.5 percent.

Upon comparing percentages, it was revealed that in 2019-20, Tamil Nadu’s share of the total was 15.75%, with the state contributing 38,837 out of a total of 246,504 factories. By 2022-23, Tamil Nadu’s share had decreased to 15.66%, with the state contributing 39,672 factories out of a total of 253,334 factories. This represents a reduction in Tamil Nadu’s share by 0.09% over this period.

However, TRB Rajaa did not seem to like his lie being exposed. Instantly, hehidthis particular reply from his comments section so others are not able to see the truth.
