The Dravidianist media outlet Puthiya Thalaimurai has come under intense criticism for its selective and misleading portrayal of the victim’s father in the Tiruppur Rithanya dowry death case. The channel, in its rush for a sensational byte, aired a heavily edited version of an emotional interview, painting the grieving father as regressive and conservative at a time when the family was already shattered by their daughter’s tragic death and allegedly facing political influence, as the groom’s family is reportedly linked to the Congress party. The case itself has seen little progress, raising serious concerns about justice being delayed or denied.

Against this backdrop, Puthiya Thalaimurai published a news card and aired a video segment in which Rithanya’s father, while mourning his daughter, said she lived by the principle of “one man, one woman” and that he was proud of her for that. But what the channel deliberately omitted was the rest of his message where he clearly advised others not to take such a path, emphasizing that life has options, and suicide is never the solution.

Instead, the media outlet chose to highlight only this line with title, “Cruel words,” and in the news card it added, “Whether or not to take up an alternate life depends on each person’s mindset, but my daughter has died living ‘one man, one woman’. Even though I lost my daughter, I’m proud of that. – Controversial speech by Rithanya’s father, who committed suicide due to dowry harassment”

This manipulated edit quickly went viral. Dravidianist and Periyarist handles on social media latched onto it, vilifying the grieving father, painting him casteist and regressive, and subjecting him to a torrent of online abuse.

Only after massive backlash from netizens who exposed the full context did Puthiya Thalaimurai quietly delete the post and the video. But by then, the damage was already done, his words had been twisted, and his character publicly tarnished while he mourned his daughter and sought justice.

For the record, here’s what Rithanya’s father actually said in full, “Whether or not to take up an alternate life depends on each person’s mindset, but my daughter has died living ‘one man, one woman’ (meaning she believed in one true love/partner). Even though I lost my daughter, I’m proud of that. I don’t think all daughters should be like that. But there is a way to live. One can live. Deciding that one must die by taking their life and leaving this world, is a wrong decision.”

Below are some of the posts of online abuse that were directed at the victim’s father as a result of the misleading news coverage.

Even recently, Rithanya’s father, while speaking to the press outside the court, broke down in tears with folded hands, pleading with the media to act responsibly. He said, “I stand here having lost my child. Please, I earnestly and humbly request you to provide accurate information. Whatever justice you would expect if it were a child from your own home, please publish news in line with that. That is all I humbly and earnestly ask of you. I have lost my child; now, I want justice for the remaining children. Please report the news with that in mind.”

Case Background 

Rithanya, a 27-year-old woman from Avinashi, was found dead inside her car near Cheyur in late June 2025, just over two months after her wedding. She had married E. Kavin Kumar, 28, of Palankarai near Avinashi, on 11 April 2025. Kavin is the son of Easwaramoorthy and Sithradevi, and the grandson of R. Krishnan, who currently serves as the Tiruppur Urban District President of the Congress party.

Preliminary police investigations suggested that Rithanya died by consuming poison. Prior to her death, she sent a series of voice messages to her father, Annadurai, in which she accused her husband and his parents of subjecting her to both physical and emotional abuse. These recordings were widely shared on social media following her death, sparking public outrage and demands for justice.

Following the incident, the Avinashi police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 85 (cruelty by husband or his relatives) and 108 (abetment of suicide). Kavin and his father, Easwaramoorthy, were arrested. Although Rithanya had also named her mother-in-law, Sithradevi, in the voice messages, she was released on health grounds. Rithanya’s family, however, has alleged that political pressure influenced the decision not to arrest her.

The victim’s parents have accused the groom’s family of dowry harassment, claiming they had already provided 100 sovereigns of gold and a luxury car valued at ₹62 lakh at the time of the wedding. They allege that demands for an additional 200 sovereigns followed, along with further abuse. Rithanya’s father, Annadurai, has also made serious allegations of sexual misconduct against his daughter’s husband.

Raising concerns over the direction of the investigation, Rithanya’s parents met with Leader of the Opposition and AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami in Salem. They requested his support in ensuring a fair and transparent probe, alleging attempts to tamper with evidence and malign their daughter’s character.

Meanwhile, R. Krishnan, the groom’s grandfather, dismissed the allegations, labeling them as false. He described the matter as a personal family issue and denied any political involvement, stating that the family would respond through legal means.

The systematic erosion of Hindu identity has been gradually underway, spearheaded by Islamist organizations, political parties, and fundamentalist groups, with full backing from the ruling DMK. This has been evident in the Thiruparankundram Murugan hills, where these groups assert their rights to animal sacrifice at the hilltop Sikkandar Dargah and eating non vegetarian food in the foothills. Additionally, there are reports of them painting Jain caves green and DMK ally, Ramanathapuram IUML MP Navaskani, claiming the dargah as part of Waqf property, which indirectly implies the entire hill falls under the Waqf board’s jurisdiction. To add fuel to the fire, the Dravidian-aligned media has been shamelessly spreading narratives suggesting that Tamil saints like Bogar praised and recognized the Muslim figure Sikkandar in their poems, which is a baseless and absurd claim masked as research. This is the height of media bias and sycophantic support for the ruling DMK.

After a series of protests by Islamist fundamentalist groups in Thiruparankundram, Hindus and devotees became increasingly agitated and concerned about the situation. The Hindu Munnani, along with other Hindu organizations and political parties like the BJP, took up the issue and announced a protest scheduled for 4 February 2025, two weeks in advance. However, the DMK government, in a last-minute move, imposed Section 144 on the eve of the protest to prevent public gatherings and arrest anyone under the guise of maintaining public order. This was a response to the large number of Hindus who planned to show their unity and protest against the cultural erosion of their identity. The DMK deployed over 1,000 police officers, set up barricades, arrested individuals who even attempted to buy bus tickets to Thiruparankundram or take autos from the railway station and leaders were house arrested. The crackdown was harsh and authoritarian. It was only after the intervention of the Madras High Court, which permitted the protest, that the DMK’s plan unraveled. Faced with this setback, the DMK activated its media networks to spread their own narratives. The Dravidian media, particularly Puthiyathalaimurai TV, has consistently been a mouthpiece for the ruling DMK, pushing narratives to serve their agenda.

The logic behind the Dravidianist media’s fake propaganda was to claim that small temples around the hills then adding it to the name of the temple hills and claim authority, which is an odd argument.

To support the Dravidianist media’s narrative, a self-proclaimed research scholar made the following argument, he said, “The hills are not called Sikkandar Hills only recently; they have been known by this name for centuries. In the ‘Bogar 7000’ poem, in the writings Bogar, who is part of the 18 Siddhas, he mentions Sikkandar Hills in the Saptakanda, stating that he visited the place and saw the samadhi of Sikandar Rishi. There are also royal gazette notes confirming this as Sikkandar Hills. There is an ‘Inam register’ which mentions ‘Sikkandar Hills’. Additionally, a folk song from the 1982 compilation book named ‘Verkottam,’ which records local folk songs, mentions Sikkandar Hills, along with other references to the mountain in songs. So, this name didn’t just come about today or yesterday; it has been known as Sikkandar Hills for centuries.”

What he peddled next was the height of absurdity, “For those who worship Murugan, this is Murugan hills; for those who revere Kandan, this is Kandan hills; for those who honor Satyagiri Eeshwaran, this is Satyagiri Mountain. Similarly, for those who follow Sikandar, it is Sikandhar Mountain. At the base of the hills, there is a Karuppanasamy temple, which is also seen as Karuppan Mountain. This mountain provides ample opportunities for all to visit and appreciate it.”

If we follow their logic, we could call Nirajan Kumar, a journalist earlier associated with PTTV news who works in the news building, the owner of the channel. But that would clearly be incorrect. In Hinduism, a temple is named after its main deity, and the main deity holds the primary ownership of the temple. For example, the main deity of the Thiruparankundram temple is Lord Murugan, who is worshipped as the first abode of Murugan, and no other deity takes precedence over him in this context.

Until now, the Dravidianist media has shown a lack of understanding of Hindu practices, but now it has started distorting history to claim that these are Sikkandar Hills with the help of Tamil “scholar” not even a history professor, who says, “When the Nayak kings fought, he escaped and climbed the Thiruparankundram hill, where he was killed. After his death, he was buried, and where he was buried, it is called dargah. A dargah is different from Mosque. Then the dargah was established prior. This dargah, which dates back to the end of the Sultan’s rule, was built on the land on top of the Thiruparankundram hills and temple in the foothills, to the north Jains. In addition to this, Christians have also lived here. So, all 4 religions lived in harmony here and there was no difference among them.”

Puthiya Thalaimurai News Channel recently found itself in the midst of a controversy after posting a spoof/satire video on the distribution of Pongal gift hampers in ration shops. The video, shared on the digital platforms of the channel, humorously depicted various aspects of the ongoing political scenario in Tamil Nadu. Notably, the satire took aim at certain statements made by Sport Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and former Minister for Higher Education Ponmudi.

In a particular scene, a lady in the crowd rushing to collect money identifies herself as Kannamma, prompting the person in charge to question the prevalence of names like Annamma and Kannamma. The lady retorts, stating that everyone in the town bears such names. The video unfolds further with humorous exchanges between the lady and the person overseeing the distribution, satirizing real-life incidents involving political figures.

Towards the end of the video, a cameraman asks the lady to pose with the money, alluding to the viral photos of elderly women expressing joy over receiving funds under DMK government schemes. This playful jab led to a public outcry, prompting Krishna Kumar, also known as Parisal Krishna, the editor of the Digital Edition of PTTV, to issue a public apology.

Kumar clarified, “In general, the video was only made as a comedy about what happens when government schemes are taken to the people,” expressing regret for any misunderstanding. He acknowledged the unintentional criticism and apologized for the perceived ulterior tone, vowing to be more careful in the future. The apology was shared on social media but has since been deleted.

Interestingly, this incident drew parallels with a past spoof video by Puthiya Thalaimurai News Channel featuring BJP MLA Vanathi Srinivasan back in October 2023. In that instance, Vanathi Srinivasan not only appreciated the actors via social media platform X but also personally commended them, displaying a light-hearted approach. However, the recent spoof on the DMK led to a public apology, highlighting the differing reactions to political satire in the state.

She expressed her enjoyment on her X handle , stating, “I enjoyed watching the spoof, good job.”

In response, the official handle of Puthiya Thalaimurai News Channel conveyed their satisfaction, saying, “We are glad that you enjoyed this Mam. It is great to see politicians taking this in a lighthearted way. Please continue your support.“

The Deputy Chief of Bureau at Puthiya Thalaimurai, Ramesh Murugesan recently spread false information regarding the pension scheme of the Agniveer program, designed to recruit young soldiers for the Indian Army.

On a Twitter post, Mr. Murugesan erroneously claimed that Akshay Lakshman, a soldier recruited under the Agniveer program who attained martyrdom, would not receive any pension benefits. His tweet read, “Akshay Lakshman is the soldier recruited under Agniveer and attained martyrdom, but, like his colleagues, he won’t get any pension aids.”

Rahul Gandhi also tweeted on the matter, saying, “A young man was martyred for the country – no gratuity, no other military facilities for his service, and no pension to his family in martyrdom. Agniveer is a plan to insult the heroes of India.”

Mr. Gandhi’s statement sparked controversy and criticism from various quarters, including the Indian Army.

The Indian Army swiftly moved to clarify the situation and rectify the misinformation. In an official statement, they clarified that the emoluments due to Lakshman’s family, and to the next of kin of other Agniveers who die in the line of duty, will be given a substantial compensation. According to the Army’s official tweet, these emoluments included:

1. A non-contributory insurance sum amounting to ₹48 lakh.
2. Compensation of ₹44 lakh.
3. 30 percent of Seva Nidhi contributed by the Agniveer, with equal matching contribution by the government, and interest thereon.
4. Pay for the balance tenure from the date of death, till completion of four years, which was over ₹13 lakh.
5. Contributions of ₹8 lakh from the Armed Forces Battle Casualty Fund.
6. Immediate financial assistance of ₹30,000 from the Army Wives Welfare Association for the next of kin.

After the lies of the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist was called out, he later deleted the tweet.

Tamil mainstream news outlet Puthiya Thalaimurai is known for peddling propaganda favourable to the DMK and Congress.

A senior correspondent belonging to one Puthiya Thalaimurai, was caught peddling fake news saying that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had refused to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami citing budget consultation work.

Very recently, the Dravidianist media has been peddling anti-Israel rhetoric saying that the attack has been response to the “oppressive” Israeli occupation.

Despite ample video and photographic evidence of the barbarity unleashed by Hamas terrorists, a Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist Thamizhiniyan said “Though it is being said that this attack was done by the Hamas, Israel has been continuously for years committing excesses against Palestinians. He also peddled borderline anti-Semitism saying that the attack on Israel has gained worldwide traction because Israelis (Jews) exist as power centres in many countries.

The English outlet of Puthiya Thalaimurai – The Federal. The handle had shared a caricature with the backdrop of the “flying kiss” depicting two Hindus referring to the “Kama Sutra” book and coming to the conclusion that since it was absent in this particular text, it must be a repulsive Western concept.

Niranjan Kumar, who claims himself to be a “journalist” has been caught peddling fake news several times, maing unverified claims fanning north-south divide. During Operation Ganga, he claimed that at ‘South Indian’ students are allegedly being discriminated in the evacuation operation.

The Reserve Bank of India’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) raised the key policy rate, the repo rate, or the rate at which the RBI lends funds to banks, by 25 basis points to 6.50 percent on Wednesday (9 February 2023) in an effort to contain retail inflation. The RBI decision is expected to increase the cost of all external benchmark-linked (based on the repo rate) loans immediately.

Following the rate hike, the DMK IT wing and DMK supporters masquerading as journalists spread misinformation about the rate hike. In one such attempt, Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist Niranjan Kumar said, referring to the rate hike, “Let the dream of buying a house remain a dream till the end.”

However, it should be noted that the interest rate cycle is closely related to the economic or trade cycle. In theory, movements in interest rates should mirror the economic cycle. If the economy is growing strongly and inflationary pressures increasing – Central Banks will increase interest rates to slow down the economy and prevent inflation. If the economy enters into recession with falling inflation and rising unemployment – Central Banks will cut interest rates to provide an economic stimulus to try and increase the rate of economic growth.

This is basic knowledge that is expected of a journalist reporting for a major news outlet. However, Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist Niranjan Kumar either concealed this fact knowingly or exposed his ignorance of knowledge about the Repo rate and inflation.

Political commentator Badri Seshadri pointed out the journalist’s lack of understanding of the repo rate and inflation, saying, “When there is inflation, you scream prices are increasing. However, when the RBI raises interest rates to control inflation, you scream that your house-buying dream is over. If the RBI lowers interest rates after inflation has subsided, you will scream that saving banks’ interest rates have been reduced.”

An enraged Niranjan Kumar, resorted to body shaming after being exposed. He even blamed the RBI for the rise in milk prices. He said, “One need not be a journalist or fat guy (I am not responsible if you think I am referring to you) to tell the hardship. In a year, the price of a litre of milk has risen by ₹6.”

Responding to the provocation of the Puthiya Thalaimurai journalist, Badri Seshadri explained in a series of tweets that central banks around the world will raise interest rates when inflation rises and lower interest rates when the economy suffers. He also advised Niranjan Kumar to contact his employer if his salary has not increased in the last three years.

The Tamil Nadu mainstream media houses like Puthiyathalaimurai, News 7, News 18 Tamil Nadu which has been accused of ideological hegemony and creating a narrative that is favourable to the DK, DMK and Communists has been facing backlash from two prominent social media personalities – Madan Ravichandran of Channel Vision and Youtuber Maridhas.

Popular vlogger and social media activist Maridhas released a video on July 5 exposing the nexus between journalists at News 18 Tamil Nadu and the DK, DMK and Communists. He also sheds light on an organization called Centre of Media Persons for Change (CMPC) (www.cmpc.in) which seems to be an extension of communists, DK groups.

Some of the persons associated with CMPC and content writers in news channels like News 18, Puthiyathalaimurai trace their history to One Mind Generation Research run by Udhayanidhi Stalin (son of MK Stalin), Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi (son of former MLA and close confidante of MK Stalin Anbil Poyyamozhi), Mohan Karthik (son of current Anna Nagar MLA M.K. Mohan of DMK) and Sabareesan (son-in-law of MK Stalin).

In light of this, News Head of Channel Vision Madan Ravichandran who was earlier part of some of these mainstream media channels exposes them by providing an inside view.

In the video titled “Thidal Udaga Sombugalin Kadhai”, roughly translating to “The Story of Thidal (Periyar Memorial) Media Houses”, Madan Ravichandran traces the journey of his experience right from his recruitment to how ended up doing what he is doing now.

He says that it has been his interest to work in the press by becoming a journalist in one of the mainstream media houses in Tamil Nadu for which he is said to have undertaken a 3 months journalism course. He says that he started applying for the roles of sub-editor and anchor in some of the today’s well-known Tamil news channels and adds that he would clear the written test rounds but not pass the interview round. He notes that during the interview they test the ideological and political affiliations of one by asking “who is your favourite leader?” Madan says that he answered “Netaji Subash Chandra Bose” in one and “Velupillai Prabhakaran” in another interview and both the times he failed to get the job.

He remarks that he just spent ₹500 that did the trick for him. He says that he bought a T-shirt with E.V. Ramasamy Naicker (Periyar)’s photo and showed up in events attended by journalists of these media houses. He notes that he had to create the impression that he was “Periyarist” and finally managed to land up at a news channel.

Upon entering, he found that there were several people who were working in that place who had bypassed the processes that he had to go through to get the job. He says that one of them was a DMK MLA’s sister’s son and adds that there were many other people who had connection with the party or its affiliates.

“Sometimes, persons who are the same caste of the Editor are hired”, he says.

He says, a commoner from a middle class background has to cross several hurdles to get the job in these media houses but those with the party backing and its affiliates bypass all these process. This, he says is against Periyar’s ideals. He also says that it is an added advantage for candidates who apply for jobs in these outlets if they wear a Periyar T-shirt or take a photo at Periyar’s memorial.

He says that his life in media took a turn after his interview with Dravida Kazhagam President K. Veeramani. In that interview, Veeramani walks out after facing tough questions from Madan. He mentions that there were hurdles in airing that interview. He says that since then, he came to be identified as a “Sanghi”. He was discriminated at his workplace post that interview. In order to prove that he is not a Sanghi he says that he interviewed Rangaraj Pandey, the CEO of Chanakyaa, who the DK, DMK and Communist folks identify as an RSS person. He says that it is only then that the discrimination against him stopped.

He also mentions that religious sentiments are hurt and quotes an incident when he turned up at office with sacred ash on his forehead on Thaipoosam day and one ‘junior Maniammai’ and ‘junior Periyar’ passed a derogatory adult joke about it. He said that he brushed it away considering that they were atheist. However the same people were sucking up to the owner of the channel by smearing sacred ash on their forehead when they found that he was a devotee of Lord Murugan.

After this, he had shifted to another channel where during his interview he was asked what his caste was. “It was your people who made ‘that party and alliance’ lose right?”, the channel’s editor had supposedly asked Madan. He had told Madan to not venture into any ‘revolution’ but dance to the tunes of the one party and their affiliates. He got the job but he faced frequent interventions from his boss. They had placed a video editor who would edit out portions that would show the DMK, DK or the Communists in bad light. This person was supposedly part of another news channel, who stole some tapes from there and joined in this channel due to a tiff between those two media houses.

In one of the interviews with Velmurugan (Tamizhaga Vaazhvurimai Katchi leader), the latter had mentioned that Mr. Vaiko, the present Rajya Sabha MP was put in jail and beaten during the DMK’s period. This portion was edited out fearing backlash.

Madan asks if they are journalists or party men in disguise.

After this controversy, he was asked to do interviews with cinema stars. Even then, he was told to not touch topics about lyricist Vairamuthu of #MeToo fame who had sexually harassed singer Chinmayi Sripada.

Later, he shifted to another channel where the owner had promised full freedom to him. However, the Editor-in-Chief Jen Ram had cut his wings by restricting him only to Youtube. Ram had told Madan ‘to soft tread’.

After interviewing Aloor Sha Navas, the Deputy General Secretary of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, the latter had apparently called the Editor-in-Chief and lashed out at Madan saying “How dare that Sanghi fellow ask me such questions?”

Since this incident, Ram had asked Madan not to proceed with any interview without getting all aspects of the interview (the guests, questions, interview time, etc) vetted by him.

Madan asks if this is the freedom of expression that they stand for.

He was to interview former DMK MLA and DK ideologue Suba Veerapandian who Madan says he has huge respects for considering the depth of his knowledge and his conduct. But Ram did not allow it. Madan later approached WIN News’ owner Devanathan who gave the go ahead to Madan. This interview became a huge hit on Youtube. Post this, the employees at WIN News part of Ram’s lobby had protested against Madan by wearing black ribbons for his interview with Suba Vee.

Suba Vee had even posted in his Facebook that Madan had asked the right questions but that it was Suba Vee who lost to him.

Madan asks “Is this the neutrality that you preach? After Suba Vee, I interviewed H. Raja where I had asked questions cornering him”

At a later point in the video he says that he got branded as a Tamil Nationalist for having Velupillai Prabhakaran’s photo on Maaveerar Day (November 27) and was kicked out of the particular news channel he was working with then, citing that “he won’t be able to mingle as they were going in a ‘different direction’”. He says that, when he had invited Naam Tamilar Katchi’s (NTK) Kaliammal for a debate in his show, he was lashed out by the editor of the channel saying “Do you think I am running a channel for promoting NTK?”

When the Pollachi murder and rape case happened, the editor of the channel that he was working with then, had asked to ‘sensationalize’ the issue to trigger a protest like the Jallikattu protests. He says that the editors’ lobby in the Tamil Nadu media had decided to focus on that particular to create a favourable atmosphere for the DMK.

Madan also highlights how these news channels ‘balances’ by having the non-DMK party members for special programmes about their personal journeys, interviews, etc. He says that they exploit the desire of members belonging to smaller parties to get featured on TV by inviting them for debates. However, they are cornered by the moderator and other panelists during the debate to establish their supremacy.

He says that some of the parties will not voice out against this and rightly so because, then there would be accusations of “stifling of voices”.

Madan also takes dig at social media personality and the DMK mouthpiece Savukku Shankar as he had put a tweet that said that Channel Vision has a person from ADMK investing in it.

He says that Savukku Shankar who had once released highly confidential documents and tapes has now come down to the level where he has to counter people like Madan.

He points out how Savukku Shankar’s lifestyle, who was once smoking a “beedi and ordinary scissors” has changed now with the latter having an office near Gemini bridge in Chennai and in Nungambakkam, costly watches, bikes, etc after he started functioning as the mouthpiece of DMK. Madan tells that he is not smart enough like Shankar to earn like that.

Madan accepts that there is an investment from an ADMK person along with his own personal investments and from other friends and well-wishers not affiliated to any party. However, they haven’t asked them to be favourable to them. Madan says that he had only one condition for getting investments for his Channel Vision venture – that the person should not have any ties with the DMK or its affiliates because then there would be stifling of his voice.

He ends by saying that he will continue to keep exposing the Tamil news channels and their hidden secrets.

“I have learnt the trade from you. Now I am going to do what you have been doing for years! It will be against you and the party you support!” Madan openly declares.

To the questions about if he will question the ADMK, he says that he will invite ADMK spokespersons for the debate and will be grilled with questions the same way he has been doing. However, he asks Savukku Shankar if whether he will ask the DMK chief MK Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi Stalin to come for a live show on his channel. He also requests Savukku Shankar if he will be obliged to ask Puthiyathalaimurai’s Managing Editor Karthigaichelvan to conduct a debate on suicides happening in SRM college or News 18 Tamil Nadu’s M. Gunasekaran to debate on DK’s many dubious organizations.

Savukku Shankar, the DMK mouth piece did not condemn RS Bharathi’s comments over Dalits or Jagathrakshakan’s investments in Sri Lanka’s Hambantota to build an oil refinery.

He also takes a dig at how Savukku Shankar comments on other’s personal affairs (Recently, he made sexist comments on former TN Health Secretary Beela Rajesh IAS). Madan said that he won’t stoop to such lows like him but requested that he pay alimony to his divorced wife.

Savukku Shankar is believed to have been with the police by many however, he was only a lower level clerical staff who became famous after he exposed sensational documents pertaining to DMK’s corruption in 2G Spectrum Case. He has now taken a complete U-turn.

Madan says that he is willing to face all the challenges thrown at him by Savukku Shankar through DMK or its allies. He says that he still has his people having eyes and ears on Savukku Shankar. “I have voice tapes that might help me in future. Hope you understand” he tells in response to Savukku Shankar.

He also responds to his tweet about Madan Ravichandran wrongly mentioning about Myalpore Jannal Baji shop owner’s death. He apologizes for the same as he got misled by reports published in news agencies. However, he questions Savukku Shankar when his friend M. Gunasekaran of News 18 Tamil Nadu will apologize for his crime of driving Naveena, a woman belonging to Vanniyar caste to commit suicide as it was after Gunasekaran sensationalized the issue that the young lady broke down and fell into depression and later died. Family members of Naveena still accuse Gunasekaran of sensationalizing the issue by conducting a debate on it.

Finally he ends saying that these are just a few pages out of his diary and that more is coming along and that he plans to bring out them in several episodes.

“Afterall, what will you do? You will make me run. I have been on the run. I am used to it. So, bring it on!”, Madan concludes.
