On 19 September 2025, a large rally was held in the city, organized by a coalition of groups, including, Dravidianist film personalities, and Islamist outfits to demand an end to Israel’s ongoing war against the Palestinian.

The protest, which took place on Langs Garden Road in Pudupet, saw the participation of over 5,000 individuals, including leaders such as Thol. Thirumavalavan, the head of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, M.H. Jawahirullah, president of the Manithaneya Makkal Katchi, Dehlan Baqavi of the Socialist Democratic Party of India, rabid Separatist Thirumurugan Gandhi, the coordinator of the May 17 Movement, and  Dravidianist personalities like Sathyaraj and Prakash Raj, as well as director Ameer and Vetrimaran.

While addressing the rally, Dravidianist actor Prakash Raj stirred controversy by holding Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi partly accountable for the violence in Palestine. He stated that the crisis was not solely Israel’s doing, but also the result of support from the United States and the silence of leaders like Modi.

Prakash Raj said, “Why are you artists coming here? If speaking against an injustice is politics, then we will speak politics. There is a poem, this war will end, all the leaders will hand shake and leave, but the truth is that there is a mother waiting for his son, a woman waiting for her husband, children waiting for their father. We do not know who sold this nation and land. But we know who paid the price for it. This is what will happen if we remain silent. There is an answer for them who ask why do artist like you talk like this. A poet who says that if I do not want politics in my poetry, I want to hear the sound of birds. If I want to hear the sound of birds, the sound of warplanes must stop. The rain is coming. Finally, I will say a word and speak. What I, all of us, have to say to this world is that even if it is a wound to our individual body, our silence will heal it. But if I remain silent and do nothing for a wounded nation, it will be more of an injury to a country and humanity. Therefore, before we die… we should not die. Let us fight. This voice will be heard. This is not only Israel’s fault but also America’s which supports it, and also Modi, who remains silent, is also responsible. This is not only Israel’s fault, but also the responsibility of the United States, which supports it, and Modi, who remains silent. Everyone who chooses to stay silent is also responsible. “

Speaking at the protest, DMK stooge Sathyaraj said, “The massacre happening in Gaza is unbearable to watch. How can they go and drop bombs with such a lack of humanity? When you see those children dying, how can the person who attacks Gaza sleep peacefully? Does he have no humanity? They say man evolved from apes, but these people haven’t become full human beings; they stopped halfway. That’s why they have this kind of mindset. The world nations must stop this; the UN must make a decision. Every time a community fights for its freedom, this is how genocide happens. This is how our Tamil brothers, who strived for the Tamil community to flourish in Sri Lanka, were brutally killed. Not just the fighters, but innocent people too were killed. Here too, in the name of war, Israel is planning to wipe out an entire community. The USA is aiding and abetting it.

Similarly speaking at the protest, Dravidianist director Vetrimaran said, “I believe it is the responsibility of every one of us, as an artist and as a human being, to stand in support of people wherever they are being oppressed and wherever they are being killed by oppression. On that basis, what is happening in Palestine is a planned, century-long, systematic genocide. Knowing that civilians and children are taking refuge in schools and hospitals there, they are throwing bombs. For hundreds of years, they have been destroying hundreds of acres of olive trees that are a source of livelihood for them.

However, the duplicity of the Islamo-Dravidianists were evident. Those who now vocally condemn Israel’s actions were silent when Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups launched a large-scale attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 an assault that marked the beginning of the latest round of violence often referred to as the “Gaza War” or “Israel-Hamas conflict.”

The same individuals failed to speak up during major domestic tragedies, such as the Kallakurichi hooch incident, where 69 people lost their lives, and the illicit liquor deaths in Ekkiarkuppam, Marakkanam, which claimed 14 lives. Additionally, there was minimal reaction to the custodial death of Ajith Kumar and the honor killing of Dalit techie Kavin. The only notable exception was Thirumavalavan, who condemned the honor killing but avoided criticizing his political ally, the DMK.

At a discussion forum organized by Dravidianist propaganda YouTube channel called “The Debate” filmmaker Ameer made pointed attacks on Sanatana Dharma and Brahmins. Positioning himself as an outsider to caste due to his Muslim upbringing, Ameer accused “Aryans” of creating the caste system, linked honour killings to Hindu epics, and openly backed the DMK as the “more positive” force in Tamil Nadu politics. His remarks, laced with sweeping generalisations and provocative claims, also took aim at cultural practices like Vinayagar Chaturthi, portraying them as dominated by “intermediate castes” while alleging Brahmins stay aloof.

Ameer begins his speech by preaching about Islam saying “In this discussion forum with students present, there’s a difference between the other speakers and me. They grew up in the caste hierarchy. I am an exception. They grew up within the caste hierarchy. I grew up looking at the caste hierarchy from outside. Since I was born into a Muslim family, whatever my father taught me is supreme. We’re workers at the lower rung, load-bearing labourers. That’s where I born into and grew up… Even though I was born into an Islamic family, we did not reside in a Muslim-dominate area. We lived amidst the labourers. From my early days, most of my friends have been load-bearing labourers, tricycle drivers, bullock cart drivers, rickshaw drivers.. Since I grew up with them, all of them were my brothers and relatives. So I never had any concept of caste…”

Ameer said “Caste was inserted by man. Which man? The Aryan (referring to Brahmins). Sanatana Dharmam. He is only imposing caste here. Why is he imposing? Like he said – Those born from heads – Brahmins, shoulders – Kshatriyas, thighs – Vaishyas, legs – Shudra. In colloquial Tamil during our early days they used to say “why are you behaving like a fourth caste person?”. I came to know of its meaning only after I turned 25. So, this disgusting caste was given by Sanatanam. That Sanatanam is what is keeping him and he keeps talking about caste pride. Those who accept this ideology is the one who is all over the world – he is there as Election Commissioner, a judge in Supreme Court, an astronaut in NASA (hinting at Shubhanshu Shukla), works in Google. But he’s holding on to his caste which means that there is no bigger fool than him in the world. You can’t see them as educated people.”

He also says that honour killing have roots in Ramayana and Mahabharatha and feels proud that he hasn’t read them.

He further goes on to quote EV Ramasamy Naicker (hailed as ‘Periyar’ by his followers) saying “Islam is the best medicine to eliminate racial discrimination.”

He further goes on to buttress DMK saying no political party in electoral politics would openly comment on honour killings and caste atrocities as they’ve to get votes at the end of the day.

“Both DMK and AIADMK helped in uplifting our lives. There will be positives and negatives. Among them, the one with more positives is the DMK and Dravidian Movement.“, he said.

He further went on to say “Who conducts and heads the Vinayagar Chaturthi celebrations? The dominant community in that area. The one who is above (Brahmins), the so-called upper caste – you can’t see them in the Vinayagar Chaturthi processions. He won’t do piercing. He will never come to Palani Thaipoosam. You can’t see them there. He won’t walk without slippers. I’ve seen them. I grew up nearby the Vaigai River. Those who bring Molappari will have to cross my house to immerse it in the river. I’ve seen people from across but I’ve never seen people from that (Brahmin) community near that aathu (river side). Their “aathu” (referring to Brahmin’s home) is different. I am talking about Vaigai River. Their “aathu” is different. But they use the intermediate caste.”

“Those who say “Hindus unite” are not talking about this – the person who hacked was a Hindu, the person who died was a Hindu. Does any media talk about that? No. This is the politics. This is what you students should understand. The caste you’re given – you did not ask for it, the religion you’re born – you did not ask for it. But they’ve given you these and someone is asking you to live by it. This is what you have to understand.“, he said like a proselytizer.

Who Is Ameer?

Ameer Sultan, a Tamil filmmaker known for his Islamist-Dravidianist leanings, has faced growing scrutiny over his close ties with Jaffer Sadiq, a former DMK NRI Wing official accused of running an international drug-trafficking network. Dubbed Sadiq’s “bestie,” Ameer was named in an ED chargesheet alleging money laundering through films and was summoned by the NCB in April 2024 in connection with the smuggling of pseudoephedrine worth ₹2,000 crore. In October 2024, a special court summoned both Ameer and Sadiq as part of the ongoing money-laundering case. More recently, Ameer was accused of participating in a coordinated smear campaign against Justice G. R. Swaminathan, aligning with the DMK’s broader ideological ecosystem.

The Mechanism of Radicalization

This information has been shared by those who were once victims themselves. They all have chillingly similar stories.

Radicalization often begins in schools, colleges, hostels, and workplaces, where students encounter peers who pose seemingly innocent questions about Hindu customs.

These questions are deliberate traps, exploiting the lack of robust religious or cultural education among Hindu youth.

Over time, through whitewashed narratives, manipulated theology, and emotional exploitation, youth are led to believe their own culture is backward or false.

Groomers often supply Tafsir translations, videos of radical preachers like Zakir Naik, and doomsday theology involving hellfire and divine punishment to instill fear.

Islamic dress codes and behavior are introduced slowly, often framed as moral superiority.

Converts are taught to hate their own families, religion, and nation, with many even adopting new names and becoming hostile to any dissent.

Common Signs of Radicalization

Some of the common signs of radicalization include:

• Sudden disinterest in family, festivals, or familiar traditions.
• Abrupt change in clothing, adopting strict modesty rules beyond what their peers follow.
• Isolation from long-time friends and family.
• Use of religious terms or ideas not typically found in their upbringing.
• Open contempt for Hindu practices, deities, or cultural expressions.
• Withdrawal from music, dance, or other art forms considered “impure.”

Anagha – The Doctor Who Nearly Left Everything

Anagha, a medical doctor, was radicalized over six years through college roommates and colleagues. She began to believe Hinduism was wrong and even considered converting her family. A student of architecture, Shri Lakshmi fully adopted Islamic ideology, changed her name, and covered herself head to toe in a burqa. Georgetown University (GU), a leading Catholic institution in the United States, is facing mounting criticism following the release of two reports alleging that it has become a hub for radical Islamist influence due to extensive foreign funding, particularly from Qatar and other Middle Eastern regimes.

The Middle East Forum (MEF), in a report titled Beachhead: Georgetown University, accuses the Jesuit university of partnering with foreign entities linked to extremist ideologies. The report claims that GU has received more than $1 billion from nations including Qatar, Turkey, and Malaysia over the past two decades, enabling what it calls “a fundamental reshaping of Middle East and Islamic studies in the U.S.”

Central to these allegations is Georgetown’s Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (ACMCU), which was established in 2005 with a $20 million gift from a Saudi royal. MEF claims the center functions as an ideological stronghold promoting views sympathetic to America’s adversaries and hostile to U.S. interests, and that many of its faculty have links to the Safa Network, a Virginia-based group previously investigated by U.S. federal agencies for alleged ties to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

The report alleges that 40 of ACMCU’s faculty and advisers over the past 30 years have had affiliations with the Safa Network, which has been accused of pushing Islamist ideology, suppressing intellectual diversity, and theocratizing education.

A second investigation, published in June by the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), raises additional concerns. Titled Foreign Infiltration: Georgetown University, Qatar, and the Muslim Brotherhood, the 135-page report accuses GU of underreporting $146 million in funding from Qatar to the U.S. Department of Education in violation of disclosure laws. ISGAP estimates that undisclosed Qatari scholarships and grants could total over $102 million, with millions more allegedly omitted in reporting donations from the Qatar Foundation.

According to ISGAP, foreign funding has led to “a dilution of Georgetown’s foundational Jesuit principles,” claiming that the university’s culture has shifted toward a “pro-Islamist and anti-Israel orientation.” The report warns that this ideological realignment has contributed to increased hostility toward Western values, the normalization of Hamas-linked rhetoric, and the growth of antisemitic activism on campus.

The MEF further links Georgetown to a broader Sunni Islamist alliance involving Qatar, Turkey, and Malaysia, describing these nations as ideological and logistical supporters of extremist movements. Qatar, in particular, has been labeled a principal sponsor of the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates, including Hamas.

Critics argue that allowing the Qatari regime such deep involvement in an American academic institution poses a threat to national interests. “How can the Qatari regime be permitted to fund one of the most important and sensitive universities in the United States?” the MEF report asks.

The ISGAP report notes a growing trend of Georgetown graduates expressing sympathy for extremist ideologies and hostility toward Israel, a shift it attributes to the university’s evolving academic climate. Medical students and faculty have reportedly made public statements justifying Hamas violence, and the university has hosted pro-Hamas speakers as part of lecture series such as “Anatomy of Genocide in Gaza.”

In 2023, Georgetown drew criticism for inviting UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, widely criticized for anti-Israel bias, to deliver a lecture under its Gaza series. Israeli officials condemned the university’s platforming of what they viewed as pro-Hamas propaganda.

Despite being founded by the Society of Jesus and ranking as the top Catholic college in America, Georgetown has received significant financial support from multiple Arab nations, including Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, and Jordan. It ranks second nationally, behind Cornell University, for total funding from Arab Muslim donors, with Qatar alone providing the majority.

In 2023, GU unveiled the Yarrow Mamout Masjid, describing it as the first mosque on an American college campus to feature ablution stations, a halal kitchen, and a spirituality hall. The university has also boasted of being the first U.S. school to appoint a full-time Muslim chaplain.

The U.S. Department of Education previously warned in 2020 that ACMCU had drawn criticism for misrepresenting its pluralistic mission, with observers noting the absence of meaningful Christian representation at the center.

Georgetown University has not responded to recent media inquiries regarding the allegations outlined in the MEF and ISGAP reports.

Bangladesh’s radical Islamist party Jamaat-e-Islami is expected to have its party registration restored, including its traditional electoral symbol of scales (Daripalla), a member of the Election Commission (EC) confirmed on Wednesday. The decision follows a recent verdict of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh ordering the reinstatement of Jamaat’s registration, overturning a previous High Court judgment that had declared the party’s registration illegal. “Jamaat-e-Islami will soon get back its registration. We are taking necessary steps.

The Election Commission has made a decision in this regard,” said Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Sanaullah while addressing reporters following a meeting at the Election Commission Secretariat in Agargaon.

The meeting was chaired by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin and attended by other commissioners and senior officials. According to a report in Bangladeshi media outlet UNB, Commissioner Sanaulla stated that Jamaat’s party symbol will be returned following a policy decision made by the EC. Earlier on Sunday, the Supreme Court’s ruling paved the way for the Islamist party to regain its registration with the EC as a political party. Jamaat-e-Islami’s legal battle to regain its political status traces back to August 2013 when the High Court declared its registration illegal in response to a writ petition.

The Election Commission followed suit by formally cancelling the registration through a gazette notification in December 2018. Although Jamaat appealed the High Court’s verdict, the Appellate Division dismissed the appeal in November 2023 due to the absence of the party’s lead counsel. As a result, the High Court verdict had remained in effect – until the recent verdict. The party’s legal resurgence followed the ouster of the Awami League government led by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a violent mass uprising last year.

In the wake of the upheaval, Jamaat filed a fresh petition seeking to revive its appeal and regain its status as a registered political party. In October, the Appellate Division accepted Jamaat’s petition, setting the stage for Sunday’s ruling. The interim government under Muhammad Yunus, which assumed power following the fall of the Awami League, had earlier lifted the ban on Jamaat and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, through a gazette notification.

These groups had been declared illegal political entities under the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2009 by the previous administration. These radical elements had played a key role in the student-led agitation that led to the toppling of Hasina’s democratically-elected government.

On 25 April 2025 Priyanka Dutta, a Hindu woman from Ashok Nagar-Kalyangarh, faced rape and abduction threats from several Islamist rioters, including an individual named MJ Maroof, after she criticized the Pahalgam terror attack on social media. According to Dutta, police officers — including 7–8 constables and two officers-in-charge — arrived at her home and pressured her to delete the video. She eventually removed her post under duress.

#2 Attack On Rally Over Anti-Pakistan Posters – Jaipur, Rajasthan

On 25 April 2025, in Jaipur, Hindu groups organized a protest rally against the Pakistan-sponsored Pahalgam killings. As the rally approached Jama Masjid near Badi Chaupad, it was violently attacked by an Islamist mob.

The attackers claimed they were enraged by anti-Pakistan posters placed outside the mosque premises.

#3 Islamist Women Threaten Violence Over Pakistani Flag on Road – Kalaburagi, Karnataka

On 25 April 2025, during a protest organized by Bajrang Dal in Kalaburagi, workers laid Pakistani flags on the road to express anger against the Pahalgam terror attack. Two Islamist women wearing burqas confronted the protestors, removed the flags, and warned that any further display of the Pakistani flag on the road would lead to violence.

The website features a hit list of sorts targeting prominent individuals, including politicians, journalists, activists, and influencers, spread across multiple pages of the website. The list features names like Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami, Himanta Biswa Sarma, and various public figures such as Sudhir Chaudhary, Shefali Vaidya, and J. Sai Deepak. This resembles the PFI’s Vision 2047 document, which detailed plans to target Hindu leaders.

This is extremely dangerous and needs to be investigated as a priority.

The lives of so many individuals are at risk as someone has published a website for the targeted killing of all those who are voicing for Hindus and India.

It has come to light that the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC) could be behind the website.

In a post, dated September 2022, the day the site went live on their social media handle, the IAMC wrote, “#Alert This unique project profiles individuals who are chief proponents of the Hindutva ideology and those who incite and participate in violence against India’s religious minorities. #HindutvaProfiles https://hindutvaprofiles.com/”

Who Is IAMC?

To jog our readers’ memory, who Congress scion Rahul Gandhi met with during his 2023 US visit. Concerns arose when Gandhi was photographed with Sunita Vishwanath, a US-based activist linked to anti-India initiatives like the “Dismantling Global Hindutva” conference. Vishwanath is associated with groups like ICNA (Islamic Circle of North America), known for ties to Pakistan’s Jamaat-e-Islami and promoting anti-India propaganda.

Reports allege that coordinators of Gandhi’s events, such as Tanzeem Ansari and Mohammed Aslam, are connected to ICNA and its affiliate organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood. ICNA has glorified Hizbul Mujahideen leader Syed Salahuddin, a proponent of Kashmir’s separation from India. Another coordinator, Minhaj Khan, is linked to the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC), an anti-India lobbying group. IAMC has been accused of spreading fake news to incite communal tensions and lobbying against India in international forums.

IAMC had engaged US lobby firm, paying them USD 55K Dollars for Lobbying the USCIRF against India in 2013-14, during Dr. Manmohan Singh Govt itself.

IAMC’s Executive Director, Rasheed Ahmed, also leads IMANA (Islamic Medical Association of North America), implicated for alleged misuse of funds involving links to Pakistani officials and terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The IAMC is a problematic organization with links to Pakistan-based terror groups. It is known for peddling anti-India propaganda in the international arena and also lobbies with US leaders and bodies against Indian interests.

The IAMC had reportedly collected funds for the cause of Rohingya Muslims and used it to pay Fidelis Government Relations (FGR), a US-based lobby firm for getting India blacklisted by the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF).

Awards To Leftist Journalists

In June 2022, the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC), claiming to be the largest advocacy organization for Indian Muslims in the US, awarded ₹3 lakh in prize money to several Indian journalists and media outlets through its Human Rights and Religious Freedom Journalism (HRRF) Awards. The winners included journalists from Newslaundry, The News Minute, The Caravan, The Wire, Scroll.in, and The New Issue Magazine (UK), as well as news portals Mooknayak and Article 14. The awards recognized reporting on issues like anti-conversion laws, persecution of Muslims during COVID-19, and human rights in Kashmir.

The IAMC has also been criticized for its links to Pakistan-based terror groups and anti-India lobbying efforts, including funding campaigns to blacklist India internationally. The organization has also been accused of violating India’s Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), which prohibits foreign funding of media professionals.

Connection With USICRF

During a February 2023 IAMC event, USICRF Commissioner Stephen Schneck advocated for classifying India as a ‘Country of Particular Concern.’ He asserted, “The Indian government at the local, state, and national level continues to create policies that negatively impact Muslims, Christians, and other religious minorities…Application of these policies has created a culture of impunity for national campaigns of violence against Muslims and Christians. The U.S. must designate India a country of particular concern. We at USCIRF continue to press President Biden and congress to do so.”

Stephen Schneck frequently attends events organized by the Jamat-e-Islami front, IAMC.

Connection With Banned Organisations

The IAMC is very intricately connected with organizations/Jamaat fronts such as ICNA, Justice For All, SIMI, IACSJ, etc. IAMC’s Sheikh Ubaid is friends with Abdul Malik Mujahid, who headed the Islamic Circle of North America, the US front for Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan. It also reportedly has links with the banned Islamist organization Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The IAMC’s activities raise serious concerns about foreign interference in India’s internal affairs and the misuse of platforms to incite communal tensions. It is imperative for the global community to recognize the IAMC’s true agenda and hold it accountable for its actions. India, as a vibrant democracy, must remain vigilant against such malicious campaigns and continue to expose the hypocrisy and dangerous intentions of organizations like the IAMC.

The Almora Police of Uttarakhand arrested Mohammad Kamaluddin, a teacher teaching in a government school in Chaukhutia, on 24 October 2024, for kidnapping a 17-year-old student by giving her a lift and then raping her. In Sonipat, Haryana, on 11 September 2024, Hindu female students were reportedly forced to wear hijabs during a school play in Badauli village. The incident sparked outrage after pictures of the play circulated on social media. Concerned parents filed complaints, claiming that their daughters were pressured into wearing the hijab during the event. An FIR has been filed in connection with the incident, and authorities are investigating the matter.

#3. Teacher Allegedly Influenced Hindu Students To Read Quran

On 4 July 2024, a teacher named Rizwan, who worked at a coaching center in Shakurpur, Delhi, allegedly influenced two Hindu students to begin reading the Quran. According to reports, Rizwan told the students that Islam was superior to Hinduism. The children shared this information with their father, prompting him to file a complaint. An FIR was registered in response to the allegations, and an investigation is ongoing.

#4. Tuition Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Abusing A Four-Year-Old Girl

On 24 March 2024, in Pandav Nagar, East Delhi, a tuition teacher named Appu, also known as Arman, was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a four-year-old girl who had come to his home for lessons. The teacher is reported to have threatened the child to prevent her from revealing the incident. After the child’s health suddenly deteriorated, she was admitted to AIIMS from Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital and was fortunately treated in time. A case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the accused was arrested.

5. Teacher Allegedly Changed Student’s Religion On Paper

On 24 February 2024, in Khajuri village, Kota district, Rajasthan, a teacher named Firoz was accused of changing a Hindu student’s religion from Hindu to Muslim in her Transfer Certificate (TC) at a Senior Secondary School. The student’s family lodged a complaint with the police, alleging that the teacher had made several attempts to coerce them into offering namaz at school and had attempted to use a “conversion toolkit.” An FIR has been filed in response to the incident.

6. Teacher Allegedly Pressured Hindu Children To Convert To Islam

In December 2023, a Muslim tuition teacher in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh allegedly pressured Hindu children to convert to Islam while teaching at Gaur Siddhartham Society, Siddharth Vihar. The teacher is also accused of threatening the children with harm if they disclosed these conversations to anyone. The accused was arrested following the complaint.

7. Muslim Teacher Got 5th-Grade Hindu Student Beaten Up By Muslim Students

On 28 September 2023, in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, a Muslim teacher named Shaista allegedly got a fifth-grade student beaten up by another Muslim student in the class. The incident occurred at St. Anthony School in Dugawar village, where Nitin Kumar Tyagi’s son, a class 5 student, was asked a question by the teacher. When the student could not answer, Shaista reportedly instructed a Muslim classmate to slap him multiple times. An FIR was lodged following the complaint about the incident.

8. Teacher Allegedly Tortured Student, Leading to Suicide

In May 2023, a Hindu student, Jyoti, studying at the Government Women Polytechnic College in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, was reportedly subjected to both mental and physical torture by her teacher, Muhammad Arif. In July 2023, in Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand, a teacher named Nafees Ahmed was arrested after being accused of harassing tribal Hindu girls at a local school. The teacher allegedly called the girls alone, pressured them to convert to Islam, and threatened to fail them if they refused. When one of the victims reported the teacher’s behavior to the school principal, the principal allegedly pressured her to settle the matter without taking any disciplinary action. The accused was arrested in connection with the incident.

10. Hindu Student Allegedly Trapped In Love And Forced To Convert

In December 2022, Kalimullah Sheikh, a teacher at a coaching institute in Siwan, Bihar, reportedly posed as Sameer and lured a Hindu girl into a love trap. He then allegedly took her to a madrasa, where they were married, and forced her to convert to Islam after the marriage. An FIR was filed following the incident.

11. Hindu Student Allegedly Raped After Being Lured Into Love Trap

In Begusarai, Bihar, in November 2022, a coaching teacher, Mohammad Aamir, allegedly trapped a Hindu student in a love scheme, which led to him raping her. Following the assault, Aamir reportedly filmed an obscene video of the victim and blackmailed her, eventually taking her away from her home. The accused was arrested in connection with the crime.

12. Teacher Allegedly Exploitde Student And Forced Conversion

In November 2022, Shamim Khan, a government teacher in Bina, Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, is accused of sexually abusing a minor girl student and pressuring her to convert to Islam. The abuse was allegedly linked to a debt owed by the girl’s father to the teacher. An FIR was filed in the case, and the accused was arrested.

13. Teacher Allegedly Broke Religious Thread And Made Derogatory Remarks

In September 2022, Saif Ali, a teacher at a private school in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly broke the Kalawa (a religious thread) worn by an 11-year-old Hindu student and made derogatory remarks about Hinduism. 14. Teacher Allegedly Behaved Inappropriately with Hindu Student

In March 2022, Azhar alias Aurangzeb, the operator of a coaching center in the Kanoon Goyan locality of Faridpur, in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was accused of behaving inappropriately with a Hindu student, pressuring her to accompany him to his home. In Gaya, Bihar in December 2021, Sadaf Jahan, a Muslim female teacher, was arrested after allegedly forcing a fourth-grade Hindu student (the son of an ISKCON temple priest) to throw a Srimad Bhagavad Gita into the trash. The teacher also reportedly made derogatory remarks about Hindu gods and goddesses. Sadaf had threatened to skin the child if he told anyone about throwing the Bhagavad Gita in the dustbin. The entire incident was known to the principal of the school, Amina Khatoon, but she suppressed it. FIR was lodged following the incident.

16. 9th Grade Hindu Girl Allegedly Gangraped By Coaching Institute Director

In January 2020, Mohammad Javed, the director of Brilliant Coaching Centre in Chainpur Bazar, in Siwan, Bihar, was arrested after allegedly gangraping a 9th-grade Hindu student. The victim was found unconscious in the toilet of the institute. Following an investigation, the police arrested Javed, along with two other individuals, Miraj and Mohammad Arif, in connection with the incident.

17. Muslim Teacher Allegedly Kidnapped Hindu Student

In December 2019, Mohammad Danish, a Maths teacher from Khagaul, Patna, Bihar, allegedly lured a 15-year-old Hindu student into a love trap before kidnapping her from her home. The police later tracked him down in the Danapur area after he fled with the victim to Kolkata. The victim’s family claimed that Danish had kidnapped the girl with the intent to rape and forcefully convert her religion. The accused was arrested following the incident.

However, varying accounts of the incident have emerged in media coverage, with some publications omitting names and providing differing details of the crime.

The victim, a Dalit from Thanjavur, had been brought to Chennai to work as a domestic help for a Muslim businessman, 36-year-old Mohammed Nishad, and his wife, Nazia. The family, along with others alleged to have been complicit, now faces charges including murder and violations under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, as law enforcement authorities work to unravel the details behind this shocking case.

Alleged Motives And Confessions

According to a confession provided by Nazia, the victim was targeted after suspicions arose that her husband had developed a personal interest in the young Dalit girl. In her statement, Nazia admitted that jealousy and fear of her husband’s potential interest led her to begin abusing the girl, with accounts indicating that she subjected her to physical violence, including burning her body with an iron.

This abuse escalated over time, with Nazia allegedly involving her husband’s sister, Seema Begum, friends Lokesh and his wife, Jayashakti, and another maid, Maheshwari, in what has been described as a calculated campaign of abuse and dehumanization of the 16-year-old Dalit domestic help.

On 31 October 2024, during the Deepavali celebrations, the situation reportedly took a horrifying turn when the group accused the girl of stealing, verbally and physically assaulting her in response. Witnesses in the household claimed that the girl collapsed after being kicked by Lokesh, after which she was left unattended in the bathroom, unconscious. Upon realizing that she was unresponsive, the family locked up the residence and fled, without notifying anyone about her death.

The Dalit girl’s body was discovered on 1 November 2024 when the owner of the apartment complex, Sarfuddin, alerted the police after noticing a foul odor and a locked, unattended apartment. The police broke into the unit to find the girl’s body lying in the bathroom. Initial investigations by the Aminjikarai police confirmed visible signs of torture, including burn marks and signs of strangulation.

Authorities quickly searched for the suspects, who had gone into hiding. They were ultimately apprehended from a friend’s Coimbatore residence, where they sought refuge after the incident.

Slogans such as “Allahu Akbar” and “Palestine Zindabad” were allegedly chanted during the chaos. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), which organized the event, condemned the administration for inaction and claimed that “outsiders” and “anti-social elements” disrupted the festivities. The Student Federation of India (SFI) accused the administration of inviting outsiders to create communal tension. Police were deployed, and although no formal complaints were filed, a lathi charge was reported, causing injuries and fear among students. Eyewitness accounts and FIRs revealed a premeditated attack by a mob targeting Hindu participants and locals. The situation has prompted efforts from certain groups to distort the narrative, portraying the attackers as victims while downplaying the violence against Hindus.

5. Muslim Students In Jamia Millia Islamia Intimidate, Threaten Other Students Against Celebrating Holi On Campus – March 2023

On 1 March 2023, during a Holi celebration event called ‘Rangotsav’ at Jamia Millia Islamia University, some Muslim students opposed the festivities, threatening peers who participated. Videos shared on social media showed one student criticizing the administration and intimidating revelers, while an Instagram story from another student condemned participation in Hindu festivals, citing religious beliefs.

6. Muslim Students Of Jamia Millia Raised Slogans Against Hindu Student Organisations – January 2023

Jamia Millia Islamia University took action against students from the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) who proposed to screen a controversial BBC documentary on PM Modi and the 2002 Gujarat riots, citing “disruption of peace.” Over 70 students have been detained by Delhi Police in connection with the planned screening and subsequent protests. University Vice-Chancellor Najma Akhtar condemned the SFI’s actions, emphasizing the need to maintain harmony on campus. The administration reiterated that no screenings or gatherings were allowed without prior permission, threatening strict disciplinary measures against organizers for any violations.

7. Principal Asks Dalit Teacher To Wash Utensils, Make Tea – July 2022

In July 2022, Harendra Kumar, a Scheduled Caste employee at Jamia Millia Islamia University, filed a complaint with the National Scheduled Caste Commission alleging that the university failed to implement reservations for Scheduled Castes and Tribes in appointments and promotions. Kumar accused the university’s officials of discrimination and colluding against him, which led to his wrongful termination from a guest computer teacher position. To support his claims, he provided evidence of threats and harassment from university authorities, including demands to perform menial tasks. Kumar’s actions prompted an investigation by a three-member committee formed by the commission to address the grievances he raised.
