Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala’s Chief Minister, member of the Politburo of Communist Party of India (Marxist) and secretary of the Kerala State Committee of the CPI(M) showered praises on Chinese President Xi Jinping on his re-election.

In a tweet, Pinarayi wished his comrade across the border saying “Revolutionary greetings to President Xi Jinping on his re-election as the President of the People’s Republic of China.”

He also implied that under Xi Jinping’s leadership, “China has emerged as a prominent voice in global politics”.

“Best wishes for the continued efforts to achieve a more prosperous China.”, Pinarayi Vijayan wrote in his tweet.

Earlier on 27 August 2021 the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Tamil Nadu sent out a tweet applauding the Chinese government for administering 200 million doses while looking the other way when India achieved several milestones in the vaccination drive. This came at a time when India and China were at loggerheads over the border in Eastern Ladakh.

Disturbing news has again emerged from Pakistan wherein girls from the minority Christian community are increasingly becoming targets of human trafficking to China.

Chinese workers in Pakistan who are there due to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) are now gunning for a bride through any means since there is a massive shortage of women in China due to its one-child policy.

As per reports, Chinese men come to Pakistan with documents issued by non-existing companies and but the real motive is to buy a bride.

There is also a Brookings Institution report titled ‘Bride Trafficking along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’. In that report, brides are sold for as low as USD 3,500 to USD 5,000. However, for the families of these girls who are impoverished, this is a significant fortune.

Since there are restrictions due to the Sharia law on marriages in Pakistan, Christian girls are an easy target because they do not come under the ambient of Sharia law.

Christian activists reported that in the city of Gujranwala, Punjab, between 750 and 1,000 Christian girls were trafficked to Chinese men and in several instances, the girls have reported abuse, maltreatment, domestic violence and forced pregnancies.

There are also reports of sham marriages as some Chinese men do not even look for real wives, but for exotic women who are forced to work as prostitutes in China.

There is also another horrifying report via unconfirmed accounts that claim that Pakistani women are taken to China and killed to use their bodies for organ harvesting which the Chinese authorities “vehemently deny”.

It is also reported that human traffickers are complicit with the corrupt Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officers who facilitate the process. In China, there is a serious shortage of brides due to the draconian one-child policy that led to many people aborting fetuses if it is girls resulting in a drop in the sex ratio.

Pakistan is now considered a Chinese vessel state and politicians are more worried about maintaining a relationship with China than worry about Pakistani women being trafficked as brides.

News have emerged from China that in order to host the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has directed more than 2 million cubic metres of water to create artificial snow, report Bloomberg .

The 2022, Beijing Winter Olympics will be the first to rely completely on man-made powder/snow and it remains to be seen how effective it will be as China is working to convert the Zhangjiakou region into the Alps.

The upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics will be held at two sites – Yanqing and Zhangjiakou and both these places hardly receive any snowfall and that is why Beijing is diverting around 10 percent of consumable water from a district in Zhangjiakou, which is an already arid region and people in this area rely on agriculture for a livelihood.

According to China Water Risk, an environmental group based in Hong Kong, where the Communist regime has gone out of its way to supress freedom of speech, more than half of Zhangjiakou is “highly water-stressed” and since 2015, China has been investing heavily to turn the agricultural and rural Zhangjiakou into a tourist hub.

According to Carmen de Jong, a geographer at the University of Strasbourg, “There is bound to be some impacts in a region where there is nearly no water in the winter. For half a year, during the snow sports season, the water stays away from the natural ecosystem.”

Also, there are risks when the fake snow will melt, it could be harmful to the environment and such a large scale energy-intensive process could spew tons of planet-warming gases.

China claims that it wants to lift the region’s 430,000 residents out of poverty and over the years Zhangjiakou has witnessed the construction of seven upscale ski resorts and the region receives around 3 million skiers per year.

However, the Chinese Communist Party’s goal, in reality, skewred and the hosting of the Winter Olympics is less to do with poverty alleviation and more to show China’s ‘glory’ to the world.

Amid the spread of the Omicron virus which is one of the variants of the Wuhan virus, China has hired an army of western social media influencers who have hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok, Instagram, or Twitch to spread positive stories about China as it hosts the Winter Olympics.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is under a lot of pressure as there is an international backlash against the Beijing Games as many Western countries have announced diplomatic boycotts, and this has prompted Xi Jinping to hire western PR professionals to spread an alternative narrative through social media.

Last month, President Joe Biden announced his administration would stage a diplomatic boycott of the Winter Olympics, and several US allies, including the UK and Australia, joined to show solidarity with the Uyghur Muslims who are under constant threat by the  Chinese government and many are languishing in concentration camps.

According to Open Secrets, an organisation based in Washington DC that tracks money in American politics, for more than a decade, China has been spending a lot of money overseas messaging efforts through state-sponsored media outlets.

It is estimated that China spent nearly $60 million in the US in 2020 and the funding included money for the state broadcaster CCTV’s US branch and the China Daily newspaper.

Some of the fortune 500 companies like Coca-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Intel, and other companies like Airbnb and Visa, are among the 13 top partners of the forthcoming Games. Other sponsors include Japanese carmaker Toyota, German financial services firm Allianz, and French information technology consultancy Atos.

In November, human rights organisations accused western companies who are sponsors of such events “squandering the opportunity” to pressure China to address its “appalling human rights record”.

“Businesses need to know that under the UN guiding principles on business and human rights, they have a responsibility to identity and mitigate human rights risks, and that helping [the] Chinese government’s reputation laundering is risking being complicit in those abuses,” said Wang Yaqiu, a senior researcher on China at Human Rights Watch.

Under President Xi Jinping, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) using ‘Eugenics’ has claimed that its eradication of “religious extremism” of the Uyghur people who are Muslims living in the Xinjiang province has resulted in a fall in the birthrate because the Uyghur women now are more confident and independent in their choices.

This information was shared in an article in its mouthpiece the People’s Daily which proudly declared that the birthrate and natural population growth in Xinjiang has come down because of the effort to eradicate religious extremism, i.e Islamic extremism has been successful.

The paper proudly says, they have “emancipated” the minds of Uyghur women and they are “no longer baby-making machines,”

However, in reality, many Uyghur women as per reports have been medically sterilized. But this accusation of forced mass sterilization has been strongly denied. However, the communist state is actively pursuing birth control measures with long-term effectiveness wherein Uyghur women have been given drugs or injections during there time at the internment camps that caused them to lose their menstrual periods or experience increased bleeding.

To further give this achievement official seal of approval, the official Twitter account of the Chinese Embassy in The US tweeted, “Study shows that in the process of eradicating extremism, the minds of Uygur women in Xinjiang were emancipated and gender equality and reproductive health were promoted, making them no longer baby-making machines. They are more confident and independent.”.

A Chinese government study says, “In the process of eradicating extremism, the minds of Uygur women were emancipated and gender equality and reproductive health were promoted, making them no long baby-making machines, women have since been striving to become healthy, confident and independent,”.

As per the one-party rule ideology of China which until recently forced its own Han Chinese to only have one child alleges that Uyghur women now have more autonomy in deciding whether to have children. They claim that extremists had incited people to fight family planning and the abolition of extremism the Muslim women of Xinjiang now have more freedom.

However, there are reports of where the state has offered free surgical sterilization and if they do not comply they are threatened with internment which would mean they may not be able to see their children for years.

Adrian Zenz, a German researcher on Xinjiang, had published detailed research where he alleges that China has systematically forced women to have birth-control devices inserted or to undergo sterilizations, and even forced abortions.

There have been several reports of China imposing its will on the Uygur Muslim population. by forcibly sending them to reeducation camps and making them eat pork and drink alcohol. China has also destroyed many mosques that are hundreds of years old and is on the quest to erase the history of Uyghur culture to assimilate them.

There are videos of China removing Arab style domes, Islamic decorations and Arabic scripts from mosques across the country.

In what could only be called a case of vandalism using state power, the communist government in China demolished a mosque in Atush (in Chinese, Atushi) city, in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) and turned it into a public toilet.

Also, the CCP since 1949 has increased control over the remote Xinjiang region by playing demographic politics by
increasing the number of ethnic Han Chinese residents in this region.

Also, the CCP believes that excessive population growth impacts the per capita and impacts availability of resources and sources of income giving rise to “religious extremism and secessionism.

The fact is CCP wants to suppress minority population growth while boosting the Han population through increased births and in-migration and for that, they are willing to take any draconian measures by imposing forced methods of birth control to decrease minority population growth.

China does have the problem of Islamic terrorism in the Xinjiang province bordering Pakistan and it uses brutal methods to control radical Uyghur Muslims.

China which controls Tibet has announced that it will construct a ‘super’ dam on the Brahmaputra river, close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Tibet, reports Hindustan Times.

India, a lower riparian state of the Brahmaputra gets water supply for its north eastern states from the river which originates from what China calls the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR). It flows into Arunachal Pradesh where it is called Siang and then enters the Indian state of Assam where it is called the Brahmaputra.

This new development which has been on the cards for a long time is being seen as the weaponisation of the cross-border rivers.

The dam is likely to be constructed in Medog county of TAR, close to the State of Arunachal Pradesh, which the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) claims as its own territory.

China has also built dams on the waters that enter the lower Mekong Delta that has left millions of people without access to fresh water, particularly in Vietnam. Such tactics are seen by analysts as a method used by China to force nations to accept its supremacy in Asia.

In TAR, the river is called Yarlung Zangbo and in June 2000, a dam burst in Tibet causing flash floods downstream in Arunachal Pradesh. Also, China has always refused to disclose hydrological information to India on the grounds that it was deemed to be “internal matters”.

As per reports, the ‘super’ dam will be capable of producing three times the hydropower generated by China’s Three Gorges Dam which is known for holding the largest installed hydropower generation capacity anywhere in the world.

Power Construction Corporation of China (Powerchina) signed a strategic cooperation agreement under the CCP’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) with the TAR Government and already initial work for the dam’s construction has started.

If this dam is built on the Brahmaputra, it will significantly decrease the quantity and quality of water flowing into India and will pose a great threat to agriculture, aquatic life and livelihoods downstream that could lead to a serious conflict.

Reports have emerged after top intelligence sources have told media that Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba data cloud servers are sending data of Indian users to China.

As per the findings, the Chinese technology giant Alibaba’s equipment in India may be involved in this.

A report published in News18 network has reportedly disclosed that ‘all sensitive and ancillary forms of data’ are sent to remote servers in China.

One of the Modus Operandi is to lure Indian companies by offering data servers at very low prices, and for this reason, they are quite popular among Indian businesses.

Also, the other news which is making the rounds is the Chinese’s attempts to track hundreds of Indian leaders and important officials using technology.

It is a known fact that all Chinese companies, particularly tech companies have deep links to the Chinese Communist Party.

A massive probe to find out the level of infiltration by the Chinese tech companies may soon get underway to safeguard India from cyber espionage.

After the Galwan Valley clash, India has banned many Chinese apps and games citing security concerns.

The list of banned apps is the popular and widely used TikTok, UC Browser, ShareIt, CamScanner and the first-person shooting game PUBG.

Protests rock China’s Inner Mongolia Region as Communist Party of China regime brought in a new policy that the ethnic Mongolians fear will wipe out their culture.

As per new development, the Communist regime has unilaterally decided to impose Mandarin over Mongolian in the schools by mandating the teaching of main subjects like politics, history, and language and literature in Mandarin instead of Mongolian.

This has led to protests in this region which have never felt comfortable living under the Chinese single-party communist regime.

China has already gone on a severe crackdown against Uighur Muslims in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR).

Many Uygurs are in concentration camps but as far as the state is concerned, these are ‘education camps’. China has also imposed its will on the people of Tibet whose culture the communist regime has been trying to systematically erase.

Now the same rule is being applied as China is forcibly changing the curriculum and mandating the schools in Inner Mongolia to teach the three core subjects of politics, history, and language and literature in Mandarin and not in Mongolian anymore.

As per China’s plan, beginning from September, language and literature subject will be taught in Mandarin. From next year onwards, subjects on morality and law which comprise politics will be taught in Mandarin, following which from 2022 onwards history subject will be taught in the national Chinese language as well.

The immediate aftermath was parents staging protests and schools were also boycotted. The protesting parents called this a blatant attempt by China to wipe out Mongolian language, culture and identity and replace it with the majority Han culture.
