A teacher of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, K.K. Nagar has been accused of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour by students and alumni of the school. The issue had come to light after screenshots of Instagram stories started doing the rounds on social media.
These screenshots alleged that the teacher had touched students inappropriately, shared pornography links, made sexual innuendos, slut-shamed girl students, etc. One of the screenshot also said that he had appeared for the online class wearing just a towel and had asked out a girl student for a movie. It was also alleged that the school management turned a blind eye towards the teacher in question.
Following the social media outrage, YG Parthasarathy, one of the trustees of the school had asked the management to conduct an inquiry and take appropriate action against the teacher. The teacher has now been suspended by the school with immediate effect.
However, the controversy was milked by sympathizers of the ruling party in Tamil Nadu to unleash hatred against Brahmins. Many Twitter handles supportive of the DMK spewed casteist remarks against Brahmins and tried to implicate YG Madhuvanthii and her father YG Parthasarthy who are trustees and do not oversee day to day operations of the school. Some of them even even went to the extent of blaming the BJP over the matter.

I have worked with PSBB closely for 5 years and I can say it’s the most casteist school. We were external vendors working with them and even those going to school were hand picked tam Brahmins only preferably iyengars but iyers were okay

However, the DMK and its ecosystem have been completely silent about the Loyola College sexual harassment case in which the former Director of Loyola Alumni Association, Father Xavier Alphonse, had sexually harassed and abused an employee of the college.
