A church in Lallaguda, dating back nearly a century, now faces eviction after receiving a notice from the South Central Railway (SCR) according to a report by Time of India. Sacred Heart Church, a central place of worship for the Catholic community in South Lallaguda, has been directed to vacate the premises within a month. The SCR claims that the church, situated on railway property within the SLGD Officers and Staff Colony, was built without proper authorization.

The notice, which cites the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1971, warns that failure to comply will result in forced eviction and possible legal action. The church, established in 1927, came into existence when the Railways permitted the Catholic residents of Lallaguda—then a small colony under the Nizam’s Guaranteed State Railway Company—to build a dedicated place of worship. Initially, Mass was held at the local Railway School by a priest from St. Mary’s Church in Secunderabad. The construction of Sacred Heart Church began in July 1927, following the Railways’ agreement to allocate a plot of land earlier that year. Built in the shape of a cross, the church cost ₹7,000, with a ₹1,000 contribution from the Nizam. It was dedicated to the Sacred Heart and blessed by Msgr. Vismara, the third Bishop of Hyderabad.

One of the church’s early challenges was community opposition to the ringing of its bell, which some non-Catholic neighbors found disruptive at 5:30 a.m. However, the then-priest, Fr. Tinti, managed to resolve the dispute, allowing the bell to continue ringing for various occasions, a tradition that persists today.

Over the years, the church underwent several renovations. Under Fr. Madanu Arogyam’s leadership, an asbestos structure with a gallery was added, blessed by Archbishop Samineni Arulappa. Later, during Fr. Chopparapu Arogyam’s tenure, the asbestos roof was replaced with RCC roofing, and further enhancements were made, culminating in the chapel’s blessing by Archbishop Marampudi Joji in 2004.

The church community, however, contests the SCR’s claims, arguing that they have a legally binding lease agreement with the Nizam’s Guaranteed State Railway, valid until 2027. They highlight that they have been paying royalties as per the agreement, with receipts valid until 2025. This recent notice, they argue, is the first time the railway authorities have officially questioned their right to the land.

“We are not encroachers,” asserted Father Joannes Mettu. “We have valid legal documents proving our lease extends until 2027. Issuing an eviction notice now is premature, given that there are still three years remaining on our agreement.”, the father was quoted saying in a Time of India report.

On January 15, “Nijam Today” reported that it had learnt through reliable sources, of the arrest and subsequent release on conditional-bail, of a fanatic christian missionary priest named “Pastor” Kuntam Edward Williams.

The Hyderabad police arrested christian “Pastor” Kuntam Edward Williams, at Paderu in Andhra Pradesh for his fear-mongering New Year speech, predicting a “Christian genocide” in India in the year 2023 at the behest of the Indian government and Prime Minister Modi. A video recording of his hate filled New Year speech went viral – Netizens were outraged at the sheer madness, prejudice and lies of the christian fundamentalist priest, comparing Mr. Modi to a biblical king, Nebuchadnezzar and Adolf Hitler and falsely claiming large scale atrocities “planned” against christians under the BJP.

Pastor Kuntam Edward Williams claims to have read a “American Top Secret Report” and made extreme comments saying that the BJP government at the centre would create ‘genocide’ in 2023 and lakhs of Christians would be killed by stab wounds and gunshots in that horrific massacre. The extremist priest went as far as to point fingers at the people in the church and said that almost half of them would not be seen in 2024 because they would be murdered in India by stabbing, shooting and severe beating, without seeing the new year 2024!

The man claimed “While the whole world is looking at India, the ruling BJP is planning to separate Hyderabad from Telangana and make Hyderabad a union territory to steal the revenue generated from that city. He said this is a beautiful opportunity for the Christians of India to either become a ‘hero or zero’, ” in a clear attempt to incite christians and bring politics into what is meant to be a religious dialogue in a church.

Mr A Gopal Rao of Hyderabad had filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime police, alleging that Pastor Edward William’s New Year Hate speech at a Hyderabad church, could trigger communal violence.

In his formal complaint, Mr Gopal Rao cited a widely circulated Youtube Video of the man’s irrational, hate filled speech – the Church was quick to make the youtube video link of Pastor’s speech “private”.

Based on the complaint, Cyber Crime Police, Hyderabad, registered an FIR against Pastor Edward Williams under sections 153(A), 295(A), and 505(1)b of the IPC.

However, the arrested man has now been released on bail with a notice to appear before the concerned Hyderabad police department, within one week of his release.

Back on September 25, 2019, the same man, Christian Pastor Kuntam Edward William, while speaking at an annual church function said that PM Modi had created the critical CDS post (Chief of Defence Staff) so that “he could bring in a presidential form of government and declare himself ‘President for life’.”

The christian priest, Kuntam Edward Williams and his wife appear to run a profitable christian preaching and conversion venture in Andhra, Telangana and parts of Karnataka including Bengaluru, aside from their christian television and you-tube/ blogging revenues from a primarily Telugu christian base. His online biography proudly states that Kuntam Edward Williams has done extensive christian preaching among youth in churches and camps, as well as on various college campuses in India.

A careful scrutiny of the man called, Pastor Kuntam Edward Williams reveals that he is attached to many churches and “ministries” or evangelical/ missionary organizations and targets all sections of Hindu society for his religious conversion attempts including the emotionally vulnerable LGBT community. It appears that kuntam Williams is associated with the infamous Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM), founded by the late Frederick Antony Ravi Kumar Zacharias, an Indian-born Canadian-American Christian evangelical minister and apologist. There were severe sexual abuse allegations levelled against Frederick Antony Ravi Kumar Zacharias by multiple women that he had engaged in habitual sexual misconduct and/or abuse. Ruth Malhotra, a former member of RZIM, claims that suspicions regarding Zacharias’ behaviour had existed during his lifetime but that RZIM employees were not allowed to investigate.

Pastor Kuntam Edward Williams has been the host of Nireekshana television since 2000, which was sponsored by CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) Multimedia Pvt Ltd and is aired on TV9 every Sunday evening at 5.30. He is a blogger and interactive web manager for an IPTV called “tipritv’ which reaches the Indian diaspora converted-Christian population. His programs are also a part of Sakshi TV’s network. Sakshi newspaper and television network is a media house owned by the current Andhra Pradesh chief minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, whose family are converted christians. In fact, it was during the leadership of Andhra’s first christian chief minister of the Congress party, YS Rajeshekar Reddy back in 2004, that the state saw the launch of a significant number of christian organizations of all types and sizes along with various organizations and fanatic christian priests, who openly preach the “superiority” of Christianity and indulge in aggressive religious conversion activities by lies about Hinduism and Hindu gods and by offering financial incentives to poor, gullible people from through large foreign donations received by the missionary preachers for the purpose of promoting Christianity in any manner possible.

The Hyderabad city police forced the cancellation of book launch on “Halal Jihad” (Telugu Edition) by not granting permission for the said event scheduled on 11 December 2022 at Badruka college auditorium, Kachiguda.

The book is authored by Ramesh Shinde, the national spokesperson of Hindu Jan Jagruti Samiti who has been vocal advocate against Halal for over 15 years.

The Hyderabad police under TRS government headed by K Chandrasekhara Rao refused the permission of book launch on Halal Jihad on the grounds of being a “law and order” issue.

However, it is worth noting that the same KCR government allowed a comedy show by controversial ‘standup comedian’ Munawar Faruqui under police protection despite huge protests against the event by Hindu organisations. Munawar Faruqui is known for his notorious and rabid abuse of Hindu deities in his “comedy” shows.

The TRS government with great fanfare facilitated hosting of the first edition of International Halal Expo in a grand scale with over 15000 people attending the event.

This book by Ramesh Shinde sheds light on the serious societal and cultural damage caused by promoting Halal and also offers solutions to the problem that can be executed at the individual and community level. The book highlights that the money generated through Halal economy is used in funding terrorist organizations worldwide. In India, the Jamat Ulema e Hind Halal Trust is the primary organization which issues Halal certification, which reportedly funds and supports all terror accused by providing them free legal support including getting them the services of best senior advocates for their acquittal. It is presently supporting 700 accused Islamist terrorists belonging to LeT, Indian Mujahideen, Islamic State, etc.

Apart from the Telugu edition, the book is available in Marathi, Hindi, English and Kannada.

In a shocker of an incident that has viturally gone unnoticed, a minor was gang-raped by four Muslim men from Hyderabad in June 2022.

The incident happened in Chandrayangutta police station area of Hyderabad Old City, a stronghold of AIMIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi.

As per a report, the four accused – Ajaz, Abbu, Salar and Feroz – were presented before a local court and remanded in judicial custody at the time.

The incident came close on the heels of the Jubilee Hills gangrape involving sons of an AIMIM MLA and the Waqf Board head among others.

What makes this case even more shocking is that the aunt of one of the accused, Feroz, allegedly covered up the crime by washing the victim’s clothes.

The 14-year-old minor had gone to her grandmother’s house, who scolded her for venturing out late in the night. So the girl started walking back to her home, when some hooligans started passing lewd comments at her.

This is when two of the accused approached her offering to ‘help her reach home’. They took her to an eating joint for dinner, and later took her to a room in a secluded place close to Pahadi Shareef (a Sufi dargah) before raping her. The other two accused joined their associates and they too sexually assaulted the girl in turns.

After the assault, Feroz took the girl to his aunt’s house. “His aunt allegedly washed the victim’s clothes and thus tried to screen the evidence in the sexual assault case,” a police officer was quoted saying in a report. Later, the girl was dropped in Chandrayanagutta area.

Initially, the police registered a case of missing person after her parents approached them. Later, it was amended to book the accused for kidnap and gangrape. A case was also registered against Feroz’s aunt for tampering evidence in the case.

More rape cases from Pahadi Shareef and Hyderabad Old city area

On May 31 this year, cab driver Kaleem Ali and his friend Luqman gang-raped an 11-year-old girl at Muslim Colony in Kondurg. The minor, who lives with her grandmother in Moghalpura, had left home to visit her parents at Pahadi Shareef, when she was lured by the cab driver who raped her with his friend.

In another case of rape, a 16-year-old girl was raped in the limits of Kalapathar police station on May 31. The accused Md. Sufiyan (21) works as an event manager, and he had lured the victim to his home when she was returning home from her job at a textile shop near Charminar.

A shocking incident has come to light where a student of the ICFAI Law School in Hyderabad was reportedly ragged, assaulted, lynched and forced to chant ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ (Allah is the greatest) by his Muslim seniors.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media in which a group of students can be seen beating up and threatening the victim inside a hostel room.

The students can be heard saying “will fix his ideology, beat him to coma,” in the video.

In the complaint filed by the victim Himank Bansal, he said that around 15-20 persons barged into his hostel room at 3:30 PM on 1 November 2022 and ganged up on him.

He mentioned that they kicked his testicles, himiliated him and threatened to beat him to death if he didn’t take his trousers off. He added that he has noticeable bruises under his right eye and a swollen skull. The perpetrators apparently asked him to take a story of him severely hurt and upload it as a Snapchat story.

They had threatened him with death if he reported to the college authorities about the incident.

Bansal mentioned in his complaint that they attacked him as he had mistakenly referred to Prophet Mohammad as a ‘paedophile’ to another friend.

According to Bansal, one of his friends from 1st year BA-LLB named Dipasha Sharma had allegedly called him a paedophile for being friends with a girl 3 and a half years younger than him. Bansal claimed to have defended his friendship saying that he was not seeking any sexual relations whi her for and further cited references from Islamic scriptures to explain how he is not wrong. The entire conversation according to Bansal had happened in Instagram messenger. Dipasha Sharma had allegedly shared screenshots of this conversation which led to the gang barging into his room and beating him.

“I did not realise that my statements about her amounted to disrespect because Islamic scholars like Zakir Naik have acknowledged this reality by citing an authentic hadith.”, he said.

He also noted that the perpetrators invaded his privacy and read through his other chats on WhatsApp without his consent.

“My family have same religious sentiment, so we had some chats where someone asked us to only buy goods from Hindu vendors and not from Muslim vendors. We also had some other pro-Hindu chats there.”, he had noted in his complaint.

He said that he had to make up a story that those chats were made by his cousin and not him but admitted in the complaint that it was him who made those chats around a year back and doesn’t hold those views now.

Bansal also explained in graphic detail how each of the person allegedly assaulted him.

Video and photographic evidence of the assault has also been submitted to the police along with the complaint by Bansal. However, it is being reported that the incident is being trivialized as a senior-junior faceoff by a certain group.

The Cyberabad Police have registed a case against the accused under the Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 342 (wrongful containment), 450 (house-trespass in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment for life), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), R/W 149 of the Indian Penal Code and Sec 4(I), (II), and (III) of the Prohibition of Ragging Act 2011.

Protests erupted outside an apartment in Hyderabad on Tuesday (25 October 2022), after a Christian family objected to their neighbouring Hindu family drawing the traditional Rangoli designs and lighting diyas in the common hallway space, in front of their own apartment.

The Christian family not only objected to the Rangoli, but also abused and threatened their Hindu neighbours. The incident took place at Archana Apartments on Golkonda Cross Road in Hyderabad’s Chikapally area.

The unsavoury incident took place on Diwali day, October 24th (Monday evening) when the Hindus drew rangoli patterns (“muggu” in Telugu ) and lit their evening Deepavali lamps, per age-old native tradition.

The Christians who live in the opposite unit, questioned the use of the common hallway space, even though the Hindu women had not infringed on the space in front of the Christian family’s apartment. It is a common and widely accepted practice in Indian apartments, to utilize a reasonable amount of space in the open, common hallway in front of one’s own apartment, to draw rangoli designs per Indian tradition.

This incidence of Christian intolerance towards a Hindu festival celebration in a metropolitan city like Hyderabad, has netizens discussing the often stated issue of christian conversations via hateful anti-Hindu indoctrination and the subsequent intolerance that converts are often observed displaying including denigration of Hindu deities and native cultural practices.

The incident gained attention and sympathy when the aggrieved Hindus uploaded a video clip on Tuesday, which clearly shows the aggression and intolerance of the Christian family. The video, which was shared on Twitter and went viral on social media, shows the Christian woman, Gona Shalini, threatening to hit the girls with a chappal for the rangoli and diyas. Her two sons are also seen and heard threatening the Hindu women with dire consequences including physical harm.

After the incident came to light, a group of Hindu organisations staged a protest at Hyderabad’s Archana Apartments, demanding action against the Christians who were objecting to a traditional celebration of Diwali . Supporters and Protesters were seen chanting “Jai Shri Ram” outside the apartment.

The protests continued till Wednesday afternoon and subsided only after the local police arrested the accused and assured the Hindus of a thorough investigation into this incident of agression and intolerence.

Another protest was held near the Chikkadpally police station (the jurisdiction of the Apartment in question), where several women protestors, said that their religious sentiments were being hurt and their rights to celebrate Diwali were infringed upon. They demanded stringent action against the Christian family.

According to the Chikkadpally police inspector, N.Sanjay Kumar, apart from the incident on Diwali day, there had been previous issues related to the accused family’s dog as well.

Police officials registered an FIR against the family that objected to the Rangoli. The woman, Gona Shalini, her husband Gona Christopher and their sons Rajiv and Ajith, were booked under Sections 506 (Criminal intimidation) and 509 (insulting the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code. They were arrested on Wednesday October 26, two days after the incident. Protesters had earlier demanded quick action on this incident of intolerence which had clear audio visual evidence.

One of the twitter users that reached out to netizens to highlight this incident of intolerance against the traditional celebration of a Hindu festival, was Esther Dhanraj.

She is a vocal advocate for Hindu rights and defence against Christian intolerance and aggressive Christian conversion tactics including preying on individuals and families in dire hardship, preaching at hospitals, direct and indirect indoctrination at Christian educational institutions , denigration of Hindu deities and native traditions and other dubious evangelist/missionary techniques aimed at achieving annual conversion goals, that gullible non-christians are often not aware of.

Interestingly, Esther Dhanraj is an ex- converted christian and preacher, who chose to return to her native faith of Hinduism, after growing disillusioned with Christianity, which she and her family had adopted more than 25 years ago, at a time of severe hardship. She claims to understand Christian conversion tactics better than the average Indian, because her family and herself had personally experienced the methods and process. Esther Dhanraj has spoken widely on this subject and is engaged in debates on local TV channels, in addition to actively fighting conversions at grassroot levels in rural India. She also counsels Hindu families whose youngsters have either become Christian or are contemplating Christianity. Through her recently launched “Quit Christianity” movement, she works with other former Christians in bringing awareness about Christianity and conversion tactics.

As the protest rages on the right to wear hijab, a horrible case of sexual assault inside a madrasa in Hyderabad has emerged wherein a 10-year-old boy was raped by a Muslim cleric named Shoaib Akhtar who happens to be his teacher.

Akhtar, who teaches Arabic in the madrasa, was raping the minor every day until February 6 when the victim complained to his parents about pain in his private parts and the boy’s parents noticed he was bleeding and has swelling in his private parts.

Later the parents of the victim approached the Mailardevapally Police, and Akhtar was arrested from Darul Uloom madrasa. Meanwhile, Akhtar had threatened the victim not to reveal the sexual assault to anybody.

As per reports, the police are also investigating if Shoaib has also committed similar crimes. Inspector K Narasimha was quoted saying in a report “We have arrested Shoaib Akhtar on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother. A case of sodomy under section 377 of IPC has been registered against the accused,”.

Minors, whether they are boys or girls getting raped inside of an Islamic seminary are quite common and often such cases go unreported. Last month Imam Jamal Ahmad had raped an 8-year-old girl inside a mosque in UP’s Mainpuri.

The audacity of the Imam was such that he set the girl free only after she started bleeding profusely and he even made her swear in the name of the Quran, not to reveal to anybody what had happened and told her to come to the mosque every day to make things look normal.

The Income Tax Department carried out search and seizure operations on two real estate developers engaged in the real estate activities mainly in and around Yadagirigutta, suburb of the Hyderabad City. They are into plot ventures as well as in the construction of apartments.

During the course of search operations, many incriminating documents, hand written books, agreements etc. indicating unaccounted cash transaction were seized. The data was also recovered from a specialized software application as well as from other electronic gadgets. The groups were found to be accepting cash over and above the registered value and such unaccounted cash is used for on-money payment for purchase of land and other incidental business expenditure.

During the course of search unaccounted cash of ₹11.88 crore and gold jewellery valued at ₹1.93 crore has been seized. The search has resulted in the detection of incriminating evidences relating to the unaccounted cash receipts to the tune of ₹700 crore for the last six years, the income of which is taxable in the hands of the transacting parties.

Further investigations are in progress.

On the morning of December 22, BJP MLA Raja Singh and his team rescued cows being transported in a specially-designed container truck near Shamshabad, a place on the outskirts of Hyderabad, Telangana. The cows were later shifted to a goshala and the truck was handed over to the police.

The MLA also alleged that the police are hand-in-glove with cattle smugglers. Instead of putting a stop to illegal transportation and cow slaughter, the police were endorsing the smuggling and slaughter of cows by harassing karyakartas, he said. Furthermore, Raja Singh alleged that a sub-inspector from Kothur police station in Cyberabad was supplying vehicles to cow-smuggling gangs for easy transportation.

“Why are police working with these people and collecting money from them? If the salary is not sufficient, we will beg and give them the money. But I request them not to commit a sin by supporting cow slaughter,” Raja Singh said.

Raja Singh is the MLA from Goshamahal Constituency in Telangana. He is known for his pro-Hindu stances, especially on the issue of cow protection. In a recent dharna at Indira Park, Raja Singh demanded that the cow be made the national animal and stressed on the need for all Hindus to protect the animal.
